DD Suggestion Guidelines

<Along with forums>*, I am now taking suggestions for the following areas:

• Digital Art

• Photomanipulations

• Fan Art

• Fractals

* As of December 11, 2023, all forum moderation from this point on will be done by @@moonbeam13 and members of CS.

** All forum moderation is done through Help Desk.

Suggesting Daily Deviations Just Got Easier!

June 13, 2025: Suggesting a Daily Deviation is now easier than before using the Suggestion Form. This way, the whole team can check out the suggestions and you don't have to send a note to individual CVs. We will select accept note suggestions. Check out more here!

Guidelines

• Please send one note per artist per suggestion. If you would like to remain anonymous, let me know in the note.

• There is a "12-month rule", which means an artist cannot receive another DD if they have had one in the last 6 months. There's currently no way for suggester to check this but we can check.
  February 11, 2021: All Daily Deviations now show a DD banner tag on the top left of the deviation thumbnail across the site. So, you can click on the user's gallery and see the banner tag to figure out when they were the latest DD recipient.
  April 7, 2026: Announcement for the 6 month rule to 12 month rule.

• Please send your suggestion to one Community Volunteers (CV). Do not send the same suggestion to multiple CVs.

• The piece you are suggesting must not be from a current contest entry - official or otherwise.

• Self Suggestions are encouraged.

• Resources used for Photomanipulation must be legitimate and credited and listed in the description. Google is not a stock website. Here's an informative article on stocks.

 More Stuff of Note

• I like reading why you believe the piece you suggested should be a DD, but this is not required.

• Daily Deviations are not to be suggested/offered as a prize for a contest that you are holding or because someone has a birthday gifts  and other personal reasons.

• For Fan Art Artisan Crafts works, please send them to the Artisan Crafts CVs.

• If I prefer another artwork by the artist rather than the one you suggested, I will feature that and provide your name in the suggester's section.

Browse my DD Selections and/or DD Suggestions folder to get a general idea of kinds of works I feature. As mentioned above, why you want to suggest a piece isn't required, but if you feel that would help go for it!

How to Suggest

Form Method:

What you’ll need:

1. A link to the artwork you’re suggesting

2. The category the artwork belongs in (the form will guide you)

3. (Optional) A quick note about why you love it

4. (Optional) Your DeviantArt username

Your suggestion will go straight into our shared list for the DD team to review. - June 13, 2025.

Note Method:

• Check  it's not part of an ongoing contest.

• Hit the "Send Note" button on my profile page with the subject line filled in as Subject: DD Suggestion - Artist's Name.

• Include the link or thumbnail of the work ( :thumbnail#########: ) and why you are suggesting it  (but not necessary).

• Click Send.
