Just saw the Resident evil movie. As someone who played all the games generally as they came out. I will say this
The movie nailed the progressive act of a RE character. Felt genuine and tense. Basically NPCs show up just like how they do in the games with general info dump and sometimes a horrible death
It was a tense movie through out that was generally an awesome experience
Only gripe is still how this movie isn’t apart of the canon. All they had to do was change the city name from raccoon city to any fictional city and then the umbrella connection should have been anything else. Add a sub title to the title and bam. It would have been even more meaningful but with that said I loved the quality of the movie. It showed 100% a RE style movie CAN be made. Great movie overall.
