ASUS Republic of Gamers is expanding its audio lineup with the introduction of the ROG Cetra Open Wireless, a new set of open-ear earbuds designed for users who want immersive sound without cutting themselves off from the outside world. Built for gaming, music, and everyday movement, the new earbuds focus on comfort, awareness, and low-latency performance.

One of the key highlights is dual-mode wireless connectivity. Users can switch between standard Bluetooth for everyday listening and ROG SpeedNova 2.4GHz wireless for ultra-low latency audio during gaming. The latter is aimed at players who need precise audio synchronization, especially in fast-paced titles. ASUS includes a USB-C dongle that supports passthrough charging, allowing compatible devices to stay powered while connected.
Instead of sealing the ear canal, the Cetra Open Wireless uses an open-ear design paired with large 14.2mm drivers featuring a diamond-like carbon-coated diaphragm. This setup is designed to deliver cleaner highs, controlled bass, and a wider soundstage compared to typical in-ear earbuds, while still keeping users aware of their surroundings.

Comfort is another major focus. The earbuds feature soft liquid silicone ear hooks that sit securely around the ear for extended wear. A detachable reflective neck strap adds extra peace of mind for outdoor activities, while physical buttons replace touch controls to ensure reliable input even during workouts or in wet conditions.
Audio tuning can be adjusted directly on the earbuds through built-in modes. Phantom Bass enhances low-frequency presence to compensate for the open-ear structure, while Immersion Mode helps reduce ambient noise to keep users focused during gameplay or listening sessions—no companion app required.
The Cetra Open Wireless is also rated IPX5, offering protection against sweat and splashes. Battery life reaches up to 16 hours in Bluetooth mode with lighting and effects disabled, and a quick 15-minute charge can provide up to three hours of playback.

With this release, ASUS ROG is clearly targeting users who want gaming-level wireless performance without the fatigue and isolation of traditional in-ear earbuds. The Cetra Open Wireless positions itself as a versatile audio solution for gamers, commuters, and active users alike.
