The title pretty much says it all... It's an all ages graphic novel about the history of buccaneers, brigands and other assorted barnacled baddies. Did I mention it's also a humor book?

Serpentine is now live on Kickstarter!

This collection of poems by Tara K. Shepersky features loads of full-page watercolor illustrations by me and gorgeous printing from our publisher, Bored Wolves. (You can even grab our first collaboration, Tell the Turning, as part of the campaign.)

The book is a love letter to a particular river in Northern California, and to Tara's peregrinations from north to south along various highways and byways over the course of her lifetime. Her work is contemplative, rich, tender, and full of love. I'm so excited for people to read it.

You can see some of the pieces I've completed so far up above (plus that otter painting I already shared, which will be a little bookmark). The sketch below is our current pass at the cover.

The Kickstarter for my Tarot deck is live through Nov 6!!!

Not only is there a deck, there is also a coloring book that serves as the official guidebook. 79 cards that took almost 3 years to complete, now finally complete and ready for you to own.

It's a very nontraditional Tarot deck, deviating from the RWS in many ways, while still including a few nods to it. This deck includes more visibly queer, trans, fat, disabled, POC bodies, and the guide includes acknowledgement of neurodivergence, sex positivity, and nontraditional lifestyles. I just didn't want to repeat the same traditions that can be found in so many other decks. You may have noticed I said 79 cards, because I am including my own custom card(s) in the deck!
