The fig leaf of patriotism can be used to cover up a multitude of sins. That doesn't mean patriotism itself is the issue, it's fine to love your country. But as often said it's the last refuge of the scoundrel.

Nazis very rarely describe themselves as Nazis. Often they don't think they are far right (the same on the far left for balance). Tommy Robinson insists he isn't a Nazi. Maybe the label itself has become problematic. Tommy Robinson clearly is far right though. The march itself was a far right rally.

Just to add that's it's cheaper now to buy a base Xbox Ally than a base Steam Deck by £150 and it's more powerful, although obviously it's still windows. You could just stick Linux on it though. The actual X, which is a tonne more powerful is only £50 more. Their prices haven't changed

Handhelds prices are just a symptom. The next generation of consoles is clearly going to get delayed too. Gaming is too expensive and it's pricing out younger players. If you don't have a parent who is either really into games or has a huge salary you will simply never get any kind of gaming device outside of a phone or tablet. Even those will start to rocket in price soon. Their bigger user bases can only protect them for so long. If nothing is done it will destroy the industry. Not that AI companies care about destroying stuff.

The crazy thing isn't just the price now compared to launch. It's also the price compared to six months ago. You could get a brand new PS5 digital for £290 in November if you looked around.

Blue check mark doesn't usually denote anyone checked for brains. It's probably someone in Bangladesh who's worked out that poking a certain subset of people earns them a decent wage. Anybody annoyed about this genuinely can't have engaged with Bond at all and aren't worth bothering with. The upvotes will mostly be from bots anyway. If a game is something you'd enjoy and you don't engage with it for any of these reasons you don't deserve to have fun.

And Steam has real issues with this. The worst I've seen this year was definitely the discussion board for Relooted. That was beyond toxic.
