Emma Frost is beautiful, but her Marvel Rivals skins are not. For whatever reason, she consistently gets the most chopped skins, as NetEase rarely stray from the leotard, thigh-high boots, and bob haircut combo that fans have grown tired of.

When it was revealed that Emma is getting the free Hellfire Gala skin this year, this was seen as an opportunity to right this wrong. And when we saw some artwork of the design, it looked like NetEase had finally heard our prayers. But now, we've had a look at the skin in-game, and, uh... well... just take a look at it for yourself.

Sorry, Marvel Rivals Players, Emma's Skins Are Still Chopped

Yeah... after a year of waiting, this is what we get. At the very least, Emma has left the thigh-high boots at home, but she's clinging to that usual silhouette, and she isn't compromising on the bob.

The worst part is the cape. While the original art makes it look like it should be big and flowing, it's just so lifeless here. It all comes together to make this look like any other Emma skin, which certainly isn't a compliment, given her track record. Please, someone, get this diva a new stylist.

Funnily enough, some of the gala skins actually look alright - just not the ones front and centre.

Some fans are hoping that the skin will be improved by the time it's actually available in the game. There is a chance it will get touched up a bit if NetEase sees enough of these complaints, as it isn't being added to Marvel Rivals until next Thursday. Previously, it has made changes to skins when they contain an error or look significantly worse than advertised.
