About Jade King
Jade King is Lead Features Editor at The Gamer and University of Sussex journalism graduate with 10+ years covering the video game industry. She has been seen in outlets such as Trusted Reviews, Kotaku UK, VICE, and more over the years covering everything from the latest releases to major events to in-depth interviews. She loves nothing more than speaking with devs, creatives, voice actors, and so many others about the passion behind their craft and bringing that into the hearts of readers everywhere.
Favorite Games
Jade is infamously bad at ranking things, but some of her all-time favourites include Final Fantasy 9, The Last of Us Part 2, Stardew Valley, Nier Automata, Butterfly Soup, and a laundry list of others.
Bonus favourite: Knack 2 is actually quite good. Solid 7/10.
Industry Focus
Jade is a bit of an all-rounder when it comes to video games she loves to play and write about. Everything from Final Fantasy to Farming Sim lands firmly in her remit.
She also loves to dip her toes into queer media, animation, and even comics from time to time. If something has cute characters and plenty of sappy emotions, chances are she'll be all over it.
Proudest Gaming Achievement
Jade has killed lots of insects in Earth Defense Force despite having a huge fear of spiders, and she's also high on the global leaderboards for plenty of vintage Guitar Hero titles.
