SRP Virtual Technology Fair: Heavy Metals Detection and Treatment for Water
SRP is hosting a Virtual technology Fair on August 27, 1:00-2:30 PM EDT. The event will showcase innovative approaches, developed by Small Business Innovative Research grant recipients, to clean up water contaminated with hexavalent chromium and metals from mine drainage, such as mercury. Participating organizations include ChemFinity Technologies, Inc., OndaVia, Inc., Microvi Biotechnologies, Inc., and Picoyune.

Research Brief 366: Demonstrating a Pilot System to Electrochemically Remediate Groundwater
Researchers partially funded by the NIEHS Superfund Research Program (SRP) designed a scaled-up electrochemical system that combines electricity with the mineral pyrite, a mineral commonly found in the environment, to continuously remove organic and heavy metal contaminants from groundwater for a year.
