My daughter has a new, special bedtime routine. Instead of reading a book, we ask ChatGPT to write her a personalized story. Her name is Logan, so now there's an ongoing chapter book about Princess Logan. Every night she asks what's going to happen next. Honestly, so do I. I didn't expect bedtime to be the place where AI showed up in our house, but here we are.

It's been a year since I interviewed for the first cohort of the ChatGPT Lab. Becoming a member changed the course of my career. Here are just a few of the things I've accomplished as a ChatGPT Lab member: - Co-authored a book - Worked with product teams for ChatGPT Atlas, Study Mode, and more - Wrote a post on ChatGPT for Education's Substack - Met with members of OpenAI's leadership team - Developed relationships with students across the country - Organized one of the first 'Local Labs' supported by OpenAI Honestly - before I joined the Lab, I knew little about AI, how to best use it, or how to talk about it. Because of the Lab, I've leveled up my AI game, building websites, automations, and projects I wouldn't have been inspired (or able) to do otherwise.
