The Role

We are looking for a highly-motivated Senior Manager, Lifecycle Marketing to join our team with a dedicated focus on Activation and Lead Nurturing. This is a high-impact role centered on the full conversion funnel: from nurturing top-of-funnel leads (gated content, event leads) to driving trial sign-ups, and ultimately transforming those trials into paid subscribers.

As a people manager, you will lead a small team of Lifecycle Marketing professionals, providing strategic oversight while ensuring technical excellence across our messaging platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the Full Activation Strategy: Own the end-to-end journey from initial lead capture (gated content, expired trials, winbacks) to trial sign-up, and through to successful paid conversion.
  • AI & Automation Integration: Identify and implement AI-driven solutions to automate complex workflows, optimize send times, and personalize content at scale within our lifecycle tools.
  • Manage & Develop Talent: Lead a team of Lifecycle Marketing Professionals, mentor them in campaign strategy, and oversee their professional growth and output.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Growth, Product, Creative, Operations, and Product Marketing teams to align on product milestones, brand voice, and technical data requirements.
  • Omnichannel Execution: Design and optimize personalized, event-triggered journeys across Email, SMS, Push, and in-product experiences to influence behavior and increase LTV.
  • Onboarding Optimization: Use data to identify friction points in the trial phase and deploy targeted interventions to improve the trial-to-paid conversion rate.
  • Test & Learn: Maintain a rigorous A/B testing roadmap for messaging, cadence, and channel mix to constantly improve funnel efficiency.
  • Performance Analysis: Keep stakeholders aligned on activation health, providing regular reporting on conversion metrics and the impact of lifecycle programs.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • 8+ years in Lifecycle Marketing: Extensive experience in nurturing leads and managing complex customer journeys, specifically within a SaaS or subscription environment.
  • Proven People Leader: Experience managing Lifecycle Marketing Professionals. You know how to delegate effectively while maintaining high standards.
  • AI Forward-Thinking: Proven experience or a strong vision for using AI/ML to enhance lifecycle marketing (e.g., predictive modeling for churn, automated copy testing, or audience propensity scoring).
  • Tech Stack Proficiency: Expert-level experience with Iterable and/or Braze (or equivalent) for orchestration, and Appcues (or equivalent) for in-product onboarding and feature adoption.
  • Activation Specialist: You have a deep understanding of the psychology behind "Trial-to-Paid" conversion and know how to use behavioral triggers to drive action.
  • Strategic & Tactical Balance: You can architect a 6-month activation roadmap but are also comfortable diving into the tools to help your team troubleshoot a complex workflow.
  • Data-Driven: Highly analytical with the ability to synthesize insights from various campaigns to influence broader business strategy.
  • Excellent Communicator: Strong interpersonal skills to drive collaboration across Creative, Product, and Ops teams without the need for a Sales intermediary.
