Michael Parlotto liked thisMichael Parlotto liked thisMy wife and I recently completed a 108 day Digital Nomad journey that spanned 6,200 miles of driving, 7 states, 14 stay locations. It was an amazing experience, and yes we were "shopping". I am hyper impressed with certain states' outreach, accessibility, and support of entrepreneurs and the business community; and, disappointed/disillusioned with others. Intention matters. Leadership matters. Vision matters. Engagement matters. November is approaching and I will not be a member of the "complaining class." I am investing time, energy, and capital to make a difference. #WeThePeople.

It’s how I think, plan, and work through things. I wanted to figure out how to take what I’m writing down and turn that into something actionable and meaningful. So I built my LOS: Laura’s Operating System. My reMarkable let me keep the handwriting process I enjoy, while a personal AI workflow helps turn those notes into organized information and dashboards that I can actually use. I didn’t just use AI to replace a habit that really works for me. I used it to remove friction around it. That’s week four of my “AI Applied” series: sometimes the best use of AI is making the way you already work, work better. A friend of mine recently used the word “analog” and it stuck with me. There are some things that I am perfectly happy to keep that way.

SafeToSpend enables any card (credit, debit, or prepaid) to tap to activate via a browser or app, supporting all EMV payment applets on iOS and Android devices. This isn’t technology we’re building for some point in the future. The capability is here now - bringing together EMV, tokenisation, biometrics and passkey authentication to rethink how credentials can work across card-present, online and emerging agentic payment environments. And now we’re ready to take it to market. They dug into the realities of managing payments at scale, from reliability and fraud to digital wallets, AI and where payments technology is headed next. We also heard from several of our program leaders about the work happening across FinTech Atlanta.
