The accounts behind them aren’t bots. They’re real people. Our RAV3N Research Team analyzed seven health misinformation narratives from the first half of 2026. The analysis found: - ~198,000 engagements came from over 24K accounts, despite low bot-like activity across all seven narratives, showing that significant reach came from real people and communities rather than bots. - A narrative promoting antiparasitic drugs as a cancer treatment drew ~108,700 engagements, more than 4x any other narrative analyzed. Across the seven narratives, unproven remedies were repeatedly paired with claims that healthcare institutions were suppressing the truth from the public. Our RAV3N Research Team analyzed five narratives surrounding a leading chipmaker's data center push, including export-control concerns, local opposition, federal policy, and efforts to portray grassroots protests as foreign-backed interference. As pressure builds, data center announcements can quickly be pulled into political or geopolitical debates, or become the target of a coordinated narrative attack. That can intensify opposition, attract greater policy scrutiny, and complicate future development plans. Kandace Miller shared thisGEO has quickly become a standard marketing strategy. It's also emerged as a new tool for information warfare. A new Demos report, “GEO for Geopolitics: What Happens When AI and Information Warfare Collide,” shows how the same techniques used to improve brand visibility in LLMs can also be weaponized by malign actors. The report calls this "Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) poisoning," where adversarial actors seed the open web with manipulated content optimized for retrieval and citation by LLMs. A few key takeaways from the report: • GEO is already a $1B+ industry, with more than 50 companies offering services, yet few visible safeguards exist against misuse by state actors • In one case study, 16.6% of 3,000 LLM responses amplified or legitimized narratives from a sanctioned Russian FIMI operation • On one website analyzed, 98% of audited pages were configured to allow AI crawlers to extract unlimited text. That same operation repeated narratives across three different website domains, creating the appearance of independent corroboration. Information warfare is moving into LLMs, creating a new front for geopolitical influence. The same playbook that improves brand visibility in LLMs can work just as well for bad actors trying to manipulate perceptions. The link to the full report is below ⬇️

BLACKBIRD.AI's RAV3N Research Team monitored how routine business news hardened into reputational, regulatory, and geopolitical risk. • An adversarial reframing of a microchip supply deal — recast as helping a firm evade US export controls — drew more views than any other related narrative earlier this year. • Data center criticism volume fell for the first time this year, from roughly 6 million mentions to 3.3 million, with calls for reactionary behavior dropping from 505,000 to 280,000. But a smaller volume of posts had an outsized impact on firms. • A congressional moratorium bill generated only about 3,000 posts yet shifted the conversation from grassroots opposition to a national policy debate. One of my favorite parts of the experience was finding ways to integrate AI into real marketing workflows and seeing firsthand where it can make the biggest impact while still keeping it human.
