Jim Burchell shared thisThis is a really interesting article about how AI needs ongoing human oversight. Though written from the perspective of the CFO, it applies to every member of the C-Suite.ADP AI legal chief: CFOs take a ‘human in the loop’ approachADP AI legal chief: CFOs take a ‘human in the loop’ approach

Jim Burchell posted thisOkay...this post makes me feel like the guy who in 2026 tells a friend - "hey, have you heard about the comedy Seinfeld? It's really good and you should watch it." About a year ago I stumbled across the podcast Acquired that started 11 years ago. As background, I love podcasts. Politics, sports, The Rewatchables, etc. This is a podcast that makes me think, informs me and entertains me all at the same time. To put it another way, the episode on Costco Wholesale made me wish I'd gone to work for the company back when it was Price Club.

Jim Burchell posted this#OpenToWork The hashtag no one likes to use. I got laid off from a job that I truly enjoyed a few weeks ago. I must admit, it still stings a bit. The work was very interesting, the people were great, and the product delivered. The reality is that in today’s uncertain economic times, businesses must adapt, and senior leaders must make difficult choices for the good of the company. I understand that. All of that is why I’ll be cheering on the Measured team moving forward.

Jim Burchell shared thisAs usual, Jarah Burke Alm is spot on once again. Comment "MiROAS" or DM me if you'd like to learn more.Jim Burchell shared thisIt's time to stop using iROAS. If you want to decide: - Where to spend more - Where to spend less - How much revenue you'll make if you spend more - How much revenue you will lose if you spend less You need to use Marginal iROAS. Media buying is hard, frustrating, and subjective because you're looking at a iROAS as a means to optimize your marginal iROAS. What you need to know is the return on the last dollar spent or the next dollar you spend. It's easy to forget, iROAS is just the average return on the money you spent. The first dollars got a much higher rate of return and the final dollars got a lower rate of return. The tough part is actually setting up measurement so you know your Marginal iROAS. After that, media buying is relatively straightforward.

Jim Burchell shared thisMeasured will be releasing our 2026 Guide to CTV next week. Why is CTV so important? Driven in large part by cord-cutting and advanced targeting, CTV is set to surpass traditional TV ad spending by 2028. Comment CTV or DM me and I'll send you the guide once it's published.Jim Burchell shared thisAd Age just published where brands plan to spend more in Q2 2026. CTV and digital video continue to climb. No surprise there. Here’s what the spending trends don’t tell you: Over 30% of the largest US advertisers (spending $50M+ annually) don’t use CTV at all. For those that do, CTV is outperforming the #1 video platform marketers rely on: CTV retargeting: 2x incremental ROAS CTV prospecting: 3.3x incremental sales The industry keeps tabs of where dollars are moving. The more serious question is if those dollars are moving to where they actually work hardest. A third of major advertisers haven’t touched the channel generating multiples of the incremental return of the one nearly everyone defaults to. We're releasing our 2026 Guide to CTV next week - research that goes deeper into what’s working for this channel and where the opportunity is. 📊 Ad Age piece in comments for now. #CTV #Incrementality #MediaMeasurement #ConnectedTV

Jim Burchell liked thisJim Burchell liked thisI got a handwritten note again. This time from Avery Fisher, one of our summer interns at Off Madison Ave. Then I found out she didn't stop at one. She wrote a note to everyone she worked with this summer. Not a group email. Not one card passed around the office. Individual, handwritten notes for every single person who interacted with her. Think about the effort that takes. She had to remember specific moments with specific people, then sit down and write out real thoughts to each one. That's not a small gesture at the end of an internship. That's a deliberate choice to notice people and tell them so. Most interns leave a summer program focused on what they got out of it. Avery flipped that. She spent her last days making sure everyone else knew what they gave her. This says everything about how she'll show up in her career. She pays attention. She follows through. And she does the work of gratitude instead of just feeling it. Every organization should want people like this on the team, at every level, starting on day one. Thank you, Avery. Keep doing this. 👏 #Mentorship #Internship #Leadership #CareerAdvice #GiveBack #OffMadisonAve #BehavioralMarketing

Tomorrow.io was selected from a field of 13 bidders and will serve as prime contractor, a step up from the company's role supporting EPIC in its first phase. Tomorrow.io leads EPIC as prime and is proud to be joined by Booz Allen Hamilton, Element 84, Redline, and DeVine. Together the team brings the modeling science, software engineering, and community support experience this program runs on. EPIC's charge is a national one: driving the United States toward world-leading weather forecasts by keeping the country's modeling infrastructure open, modern, and continuously improved by the scientists who use it. Over the next five years, Tomorrow.io and our partners will advance cutting-edge innovation in the Unified Forecast System and deepen the scientific collaboration between NOAA, academia, and industry that carries new science into operations instead of leaving it in the literature.

Jim Burchell liked thisJim Burchell liked thisJust over seven years ago, work brought me to Australia. What started as a professional move became much more than that. Over the years, Australia has shaped a huge part of my life, both personally and professionally. And now, I officially get to call myself Australian. 🇦🇺 It’s funny how you can move somewhere for one reason and end up with so many reasons to feel connected to a place. I’m incredibly grateful for the people, experiences and opportunities that have made these past seven years what they’ve been, and for a country that has given me so much. Very proud to make it official!

Jim Burchell liked thisJim Burchell liked thisI don't often post personal information on here, however, I got to thinking about the impact of this acheivement that my son accomplished this week. Less than 1% of the population are Eagle Scouts, and less than 5% of Scouts. Over 21% of the Fortune 500 leadership are Eagle Scouts. These numbers have meaning. Scouting teaches leadership, perserverance and consistancy - all traits needed in life and the workplace. Are you an Eagle Scout? If so please share! 12 years of hard work, perseverance and heart came to a culmination tonight as Hudson earned his Eagle Scout! So proud of the man he has become! Thank you to everyone who supported him along the way, friends, family and neighbors! He is Eagle Scout #126 for Troop 332! Soar like an Eagle!

For many organizations, momentum is either unlocked or stalled in operational follow-through: Can orders be promised accurately, in real time? Can inventory, channels, and fulfillment work together without friction? Can growth happen without re-architecting the core every year? At DataXstream, we’ve spent years working alongside operators, partners, and investors who all want the same thing: growth that scales cleanly and predictably, without complexity creeping back in. That’s why OMS+ exists. Not as a replacement platform. Not as another layer to manage. But as execution logic that helps SAP environments behave the way modern businesses actually operate, especially in fast-moving, mid-to-large enterprises where scale matters. The companies that will win the next phase of growth won’t be the loudest. They’ll be the ones that make complexity invisible and execution reliable. Looking forward to the conversations ahead in 2026.
