After developing our system in Israel, we're excited to bring it to the US market. Our first unit ships next month, and we're setting up our test site in Sacramento as I write this. I'm looking for our first US hire: someone to build this with me on the ground - an operations leader who thrives in the early stages of something real. The role is hands-on and consequential: getting our test site operational, running our first field deployments, building the local team, and helping shape how we grow across California and beyond; SF Bay Area based, with regular time in Sacramento for the first 6 months and some travel customer sites across the state. The right person is equally comfortable in a field environment and a strategy conversation, and doesn't wait to be told what to do next - they just figure it out. We're open on title and seniority. When Jewish people feel safer hiding their identity than expressing it openly, something is profoundly broken. Maher also highlighted a dangerous double standard. Hatred toward Jews is too often minimized, rationalized, or dismissed in ways that would never be tolerated against any other minority. That should concern everyone. This is not about politics or shutting down legitimate criticism of Israel. It is about recognizing when criticism morphs into dehumanization, when activism turns into intimidation, and when hatred becomes fashionable enough to excuse. History has shown us exactly where this road leads. Societies do not lose their moral compass overnight. It happens gradually, step by step, when people begin to normalize what should never be normalized. Silence and indifference have never aged well. #FightAntisemitism #MoralClarity #StandUpAgainstHate

I made the decision early on in my career never to do proposals. I met with potential clients and told them about my experience and the way I approached challenges. I showed them that I was familiar with their issues and believed my firm would be successful on their behalf. But I don’t give my ideas out for free. Within 5 years of starting my firm we were the largest public affairs firm in Los Angeles County…and maybe Southern California.

Harvey Englander liked thisHarvey Englander liked thisBehind the opaque finances of LA 28 lies a giant fiscal sinkhole for Los Angeles. It's all dependent on the Trump Administration paying for the huge security and transportation costs -- and who wants to be dependent on his mercurial, bullying good will? If the Olympics falls short, LA is on the hook for at least the first $270 million -- the next in line is the State, but they haven't signed their agreement. Alissa Walker has been heroically reporting on all this. Her latest "Torched" post details the sober truth from LA CAO Matt Szabo: "We are, in some ways, confined to prior agreements that were made as a condition of agreeing to host the games that include inherent risk . . . if it is not financially successful, it does fall to us. There is nothing that we can propose to you — today, or tomorrow, or next year — that would eliminate that risk." LA can't afford risk -- it is already functionally bankrupt with a $100 billion infrastructure liability so huge it has long avoided acknowledging it on its books. Maybe Casey Wasserman is luckier than the organizers of the LA Jazz Festival fiasco. But as Walker uncovered -- LA is no longer even the intended beneficiary of the Games. In their 990 tax disclosures, LA 28 dropped the goal to "improve & enhance the quality of life of residents of LA and surrounding areas" to substitute "benefit the residents of the United States." Chants of "USA! USA!" will ring hollow as homelessness grows; sidewalks, streets and water mains continue to fall apart; and city services wither. What can be done? Start with allowing Controller Kenneth Mejia to audit LA 28 to understand the magnitude of the risk -- before it's too late. Above all, LA City Hall needs leaders with the political courage to represent the residents of LA. Nithya Raman is the only sitting Councilmember who voted against the 2021 agreement that leaves LA residents on the hook. Voters have a clear choice in November.
