Diane Chang Wardi shared thisAt Meta, we want teens to have age-appropriate experiences with AI and to keep parents informed if we become aware that their teen may be in distress. This week, we announced a new feature that alerts supervising parents if their teen's Meta AI chat suggests their teen is at risk of suicide or self-harm. I'm so proud of the work of the team that built this product to ensure teens are getting the offline support they need. https://lnkd.in/gqSi8aBJAlerting Parents if Teens Show Signs of Distress in Conversations With Meta AIAlerting Parents if Teens Show Signs of Distress in Conversations With Meta AI

Diane Chang Wardi shared thisThoughtful piece from Daragh McGrathDiane Chang Wardi shared thisI've had a lot on my mind for the past few days. I've been thinking long and hard about how Workplace by Facebook has managed to gain 3x the number of customers with more than 10,000 employees using the platform than Microsoft Teams. Turns out, the answer is pretty obvious and I didn't need to think too hard. https://lnkd.in/f8XpJ_t #collaboration #facebook #workplacebyfacebook #yammer #teams #communicate #communications

When Joel launched Grindr he bet on technology like GPS. Now George, AJ and the Grindr team are betting on AI. Chalk runs their agents entirely inside their own cloud. If the architecture holds for Grindr's sensitive data, it holds for yours. Today we announced Chalk Compute: time-traveling agent sandboxes in your cloud. If you're building with agents and need to keep your data in your cloud, come find our engineers at booth #2611. More in the comments. #SnowflakeSummit #Chalk

Diane Chang Wardi liked thisDiane Chang Wardi liked thisBig week for RTD Tea. This past Monday we launched our newest modular reset focused on growing the category and bringing more innovation into the aisle. As we’ve seen growing demand for better for you and low calorie options, we wanted to offer customers an assortment that still delivers on taste, and this set reflects that shift. Brands like Spindrift Beverage Co, Inc. Tea with real squeezed fruit, Halfday Iced Tea with non carbonated fiber tea, The Ryl Company™ collaborating with Jolly Rancher, and Swoon are helping bring a new level of innovation and excitement to the category alongside legacy brands like Gold Peak, Pure Leaf, Lipton, Arizona, and Snapple. This is a level of assortment and innovation the category has not seen in a long time, and we’re excited to continue making Walmart the first destination for customers shopping Ready to Drink Tea. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to partner closely with cross functional teams across merchandising, replenishment, modular execution, suppliers, and our digital team to help create a stronger shopping experience both in store and online. You can find the new assortment at your nearest Walmart! Excited for what’s ahead. Brian Salmon Alex Ryals Lauren Looney Jonathan Leonard, MSOM Turner Stokes

Diane Chang Wardi liked thisDiane Chang Wardi liked thisLast week I had the pleasure of joining 300+ advertising and technology leaders at the IAB UK's AI Growth Summit to explore a question I hear from clients every week: how do we move AI from pilot to business impact? I moderated a fireside chat with Nigel Vaz, CEO of Publicis Sapient, and his framing stuck with me: the barrier to scaling AI isn't the technology. It's organisational. It's the grief we hold, removing process we've built. He introduced the idea of "decision half-life": the speed at which a company can connect a decision to an action. Most organisations have real-time optimisation capabilities but annual planning cycles. That gap is where pilots go to die. His challenge to the room: stop looking for "AI native talent" and start finding heretics about existing processes and build with them. A brilliant morning of provocations from Microsoft Advertising, TripAdvisor, Bloomberg's Parmy Olson, and Ogilvy. Grateful to the IAB UK team for bringing the industry together on this.

Diane Chang Wardi reacted on thisDiane Chang Wardi reacted on thisI spent 12 years at Google and cared deeply about the work, culture, people, company. But over time, it became harder to reconcile what we said we stood for with how things actually operated—especially as the industry’s center of gravity shifted from organizing information to capturing and monetizing attention at a world-historical scale. That tension doesn’t just resolve itself. In my case, it built and built (ahem Google Walkout ahem...). Don’t Be Evil is my attempt to write through that breakdown, drawing on my time at Google but also reaching for something more general/generational: why so many people end up feeling out of sync with the systems they’re part of--and wondering wtf we're supposed to do with our lives. I had an insanely fun time writing this and am so proud to share it with the world in a couple of months. It’s out August 4th from HarperCollins. Diane Chang Wardi liked thisDiane Chang Wardi liked thisAfter five and a half years, I’ve wrapped up my time at Faire. I’m so grateful to Max Rhodes Jeffrey Kolovson Daniele Perito Marcelo Cortes Lauren Cooks Levitan and the entire Faire management team for believing in me from day 1. And especially thankful to Jennifer Burke who’s been the most incredible boss and mentor every step of the way. If anyone reading this ever has the chance to work with Jen - do it immediately. Personally and professionally, I grew more than I thought possible. I learned what it takes to scale a marketplace. I got a front-row seat to the evolution of modern retail. And best of all, I watched as members of the brand partnership team grew in their careers - into senior sales roles, or sales management; on to different companies, or completely different industries. To the brand partnerships team: thank you for teaching me how to be a better leader, mentor, and listener. You taught me how to balance high standards with high trust, and how to laugh at myself (frequently). You all made Faire my best career choice. I’m especially going to miss the strange joy of hosting hot wing challenges, cooking shows during all hands, and between two ferns themed Q&As - what a joy to be a part of a culture where we worked hard and still found space for humor. More to come soon on what’s next. But for now, I’m taking a few weeks to reset with my wife before jumping back into building something great. To the Faire team: I’ll always be cheering you on (loudly).

Diane Chang Wardi liked thisDiane Chang Wardi liked thisWe’re four years into building a venture firm that looks and feels very different from the rest of the industry—and we’ve never felt more conviction in the path we’re on. Amid a noisy and complex market, we remain committed to disciplined, early-stage investing in high-upside ideas at rational entry points. We’re fortunate to have consistently top quartile/5% Fund I performance and a loyal LP base at a time when many peers are retrenching. We’ve learned a lot—about concentration, about conviction, and about when to double down—and we’re applying those lessons every day. Sharing my thoughts here on how we’re navigating this dynamic environment, where we’re heading, and why we believe the best is yet to come. We were lucky to have 7 incredible new founding teams and what I believe is the best early stage team in the northeast speak at our AGM Monday. Thanks to all who have joined us on this journey. Diane Chang Wardi reacted on thisWow. Teddie Wardi is not one to brag so I'll do it for him. Teddie has quietly built one of the best investment track records in the last decade. In Cybersecurity alone he led Insight's investment in Wiz, SentinelOne, Armis Security and more. It's been a privilege to work by the side of a humble, yet generational investor. Here is a piece where he discusses his investment in Wiz. Congratulations Teddie and the entire team involved in the deal. https://lnkd.in/ejWAT4pQDiane Chang Wardi reacted on thisWhen I had my first-ever call with Assaf Rappaport five years ago during Wiz’s Series A raise, it was immediately clear that he and his co-founders were building something special. That first conversation wasn’t a flashy pitch—it was all about the tech. The Wiz team had a deep understanding of the problems facing cloud security, a clear strategy to build a compound product, and most importantly, real evidence of success at their initial customers. Their agentless approach to cloud security was game-changing, and they knew how to scale it. Wiz’s timing, team, and technology all aligned with what we at Insight Partners were looking for in an investment. We co-led Wiz’s $100M Series A in 2020, then went on to co-lead the $250M Series C round as well in 2021. I've had the privilege of watching this meteoric growth on the company’s board together with our founder Jeff Horing. This journey together has been filled with extraordinary moments. In just 18 months, Wiz grew from $1M to $100M in ARR—one of the fastest climbs in software history. That kind of acceleration doesn’t happen by chance. It comes from an unwavering focus on customer value, a relentless pace of innovation, and a world-class team driving execution at every level. From day one, Wiz prioritized rapid deployment, real-time risk prioritization, and an intuitive graph centric platform that quickly became mission-critical for security teams. Now, Wiz is entering its next chapter, announcing their agreement to be acquired by Google. This marks an incredible milestone for a company that has redefined cloud security in record time. Congratulations to Assaf, Ami Luttwak, Yinon C.., Roy R.., and the entire Wiz team—we look forward to seeing the great work you’ll continue to do as part of the Google family and are excited for what’s ahead for your customers, partners, and employees.Wiz to Join Google Cloud: Making Magic Together | Wiz BlogWiz to Join Google Cloud: Making Magic Together | Wiz Blog

One of the reasons I wrote this blog is think a lot of teams are still overvaluing “being seen.” A mention. A badge. A ranking. That might get you attention but attention is not understanding. AI is very good at making you visible. It is not responsible for making you credible. It will surface you. It will summarize you. But without real depth, you become indistinguishable from everything else. For example: “Easy to use, great performance, highly recommend.” vs. “We deployed this across AWS and Azure. It reduced alert noise, but required about 30 days of tuning to get policies right.” Same product. Very different level of understanding. And that’s where momentum either builds or breaks. Visibility still matters. But without substance, it’s short-lived and can actually work against you. I realize this goes against a lot of what we learned in the SEO era. But AI doesn’t reward volume the same way search did. It rewards what holds up when everything gets summarized. #peerspot #CMO #LLMvisibility #AIinmarketing
