Over the past few days, several Kellogg-WHU alumni from #KW23 embraced a new #LifelongLearning opportunity by joining the 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞 in Portugal. Designed for senior leaders, the five-day program combined academic exploration of AI and behavioral science with Portugal's rich cultural traditions. The academic sessions were led by world-class professors Sergio Rebelo and Alexander Chernev, bringing fresh perspectives and new ideas into the classroom. For our alumni, however, the experience was about more than continuing their education. It was also an opportunity to reunite with their peers, strengthen relationships built during their Executive MBA, and continue their #HighImpactLowEgo journey together. And learning extended well beyond the classroom. The group experienced the Portuguese harvest firsthand at a local vineyard- from picking grapes to discovering the winemaking process. New knowledge, shared experiences, and lasting connections: this is what lifelong learning within the #KelloggGlobalNetwork is all about. Derek Heiss shared thisI’m excited about our new Booz Allen Hamilton + Andesite partnership because it’s focused on a practical question: How do we give defenders the speed and scale of AI without giving up human judgment? By combining Andesite’s Human-AI SOC with Booz Allen’s cyber expertise and mission experience, we can help security teams move from drowning in alerts to identifying what matters, investigating faster, and making higher-confidence decisions. This is what I believe the best technology partnerships should do: combine complementary capabilities to solve a problem neither company could solve as effectively alone. That’s a partnership worth building. #Cybersecurity #AI #AICybersecurity #NationalSecurity #Partnerships #BoozAllen #Andesite https://lnkd.in/eVvmrVA3

Derek Heiss shared thisAcross 3,389 test runs, one widely used Chinese model produced 130% more vulnerabilities when framed as coding for a U.S. government agency, while the American model did not. Many of these flaws passed standard scanners, revealing why single‑shot acceptance tests fail to capture distribution‑level behaviors. Derek Heiss shared thisI had the opportunity to join some of my #BoozAllen colleagues at last week's #Databricks Data + AI Summit and one thing was clear: the AI race is shifting from building models to building trusted, interoperable platform ecosystems. Announcements like Genie One (agentic coworker for business data and processes), Genie Ontology (contextual, real-time knowledge graph that grounds AI agents in enterprise data), and Agent Bricks (expanded autonomous, multi-step AI agent building) demonstrate how quickly the focus is moving toward governed, enterprise-scale AI that can be deployed securely and responsibly. For those of us in public sector partnerships, delivering mission outcomes won't be about a single platform—it will require technology providers, systems integrators, and government working together to operationalize AI at scale. The future belongs to open collaboration, strong governance, and partner ecosystems that can accelerate innovation while maintaining trust, security, and measurable impact. Super excited, indeed!

HCLTech is one of many companies proud to be part of the HCL family, and it's been great to see our 200,000+ people celebrate the milestone by sharing stories of our past and committing to the next 50 through a "journey to the moon" competition, where we tracked our activity in an app (and massively surpassed) the 384,000 km distance to the moon. Just hitting the five year mark myself, I'm thrilled to have played a small part in our evolution. A group of our marketing leadership gathered together this week, and we spent hours telling our origin and journey stories. No surprise - but what got us here, and what keeps us engaged, is the people and the culture. Cheers to everyone, especially our founder Shiv Nadar, chairperson Roshni Nadar and CEO & MD Vijayakumar C. #HCL50 #TheNext50

Derek Heiss liked thisThis is a big one for the Federal market. As agencies move AI into production, there won’t be one model for every mission. Dynamically routing to the right model — while maintaining consistent security, governance and control — is going to be critical. Excited to see Kong and NVIDIA coming together here. A lot more to come.Derek Heiss liked thisKong is teaming up with NVIDIA to make intelligent model routing easier for enterprises building agentic AI. 🤝 With NVIDIA NeMo Switchyard integrated into Kong AI Gateway, organizations can dynamically route AI requests to the right model for the job - optimizing for cost, performance, and quality while maintaining centralized control and governance. Derek Heiss liked thisDerek Heiss liked thisLast week, I had the pleasure of accompanying a group of our students for their 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management. Walking onto the #Evanston campus, you suddenly see what a global network can really look like. People from different parts of the world, different industries, and different backgrounds, all in the same place. A network that stretches across continents, campuses, and cultures. For our #KW29 cohort, this was the first time meeting their peers from across the #KelloggGlobalNetwork in person and getting a first glimpse of just how far this network reaches. For me, it was an opportunity to share the week with dear colleagues from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, Kellogg-Schulich Executive MBA, Guanghua-Kellogg Executive MBA Program, Kellogg-HKUST EMBA. And, perhaps most importantly, to see our students become part of something much bigger than their home campus. I am already looking forward to the next time we come together, when we get to welcome our colleagues and students to #Vallendar and have the honor of being their hosts. If you are considering the Kellogg-WHU Executive MBA and would like to learn more about the program, the people, and the network behind it, I would be very happy to connect. The United States Department of War's new vision for defense acquisition is all about speed and mass—built at the pace of commercial tech. But this new model presents a critical paradox: how do you move faster and leverage commercial innovation without opening the door to catastrophic risk? You can't "buy faster" if you can't trust your suppliers. We need to be able incentivize and equip the warfighter to: 💵 Understand Adversarial Capital funding our cutting-edge dual-use startups and scale-ups. Illuminate complex corporate structures and networks to identify Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO). This allows the DoW to vet new vendors and dual-use tech partners, ensuring "friendly" capital isn't a front for an adversary. 🏭 Understand Opaque N-Tier Supply Chains riddled with faulty, counterfeit, or adversary-made parts. Use real trade data and graph analytics to map supply chains beyond the first tier. Automatically screen sub-suppliers against watchlists, flagging entities in high-risk jurisdictions or those linked to denied parties before they become part of a critical system. True acquisition reform requires automated, persistent visibility into the global commercial landscape. This is precisely where Sayari provides the critical edge for vendor threat mitigation. #NationalSecurity #DefenseAcquisition #SupplyChainSecurity #DIB #VendorThreatMitigation #RiskManagement #DualUse #Sayari https://lnkd.in/eR-smyap

Modern conflict is demonstrating that the traditional defence development cycle is no longer fast enough. I enjoyed speaking with DSEI Gateway about how DTC is using direct feedback from operational users to shorten the gap between identifying a battlefield requirement and delivering capability into their hands. For us, agile development means listening to operators, rapidly translating their experience into engineering priorities, and delivering hardware and software improvements in weeks rather than years. The technology will continue to evolve. The competitive advantage is being able to evolve with it—and get meaningful capability to the user at the speed of relevance. Thanks to the DSEI Gateway team for the discussion. #DTC #DSEI #DefenceTechnology #TacticalCommunications #Innovation #AgileAcquisition #DefenceIndustry

The GAO critiques of SDA focus on technology maturity, tranche cadence, and life-cycle cost uncertainty. Those are valid concerns if you evaluate SDA like a traditional acquisition program. But that’s not what it is. These aren’t science projects. They’re incremental capability builds where learning, rework, and even failure are intentionally embedded in successive tranches to drive speed and, ultimately, unit economics. If we require full maturity before iteration, we’ll get predictability, but we won’t get affordability or scale. There are real issues worth debating in how this architecture is evolving. But a healthy appetite for risk and learning is not one of them. It’s the point.

The Booth Is Not the Strategy: Rethinking Defense Industry Shows Every year, defense companies pour significant resources into trade shows—bigger booths, better placement, more visibility—assuming that presence drives outcomes. It doesn’t. Trade shows like Quad A and AUSA have value, but they are consistently misunderstood. They are information venues, not decision venues. The people who matter—the ones shaping requirements and funding—aren’t wandering the exhibit hall. They’re operating on pre-set schedules, in meetings you’re either already in… or you’re not. Visibility doesn’t get you access. Alignment does. The companies that win aren’t the most visible—they’re the most prepared. They show up with pre-coordinated meetings, a clear understanding of Army requirements, and a strategy tied to how programs are actually resourced through Congress. Meanwhile, many firms—especially small and mid-sized—are overinvesting in presence while underinvesting in positioning. That’s the gap. Trade shows should support your strategy—not be your strategy. Because in this space, success isn’t driven by who sees you in the exhibit hall. It’s driven by whether you’re aligned to validated requirements and connected to a real funding path. The defense industry doesn’t need more presence—it needs better positioning: Read more here 👇 https://lnkd.in/eks4AQ-k Heritage is listed for identification purposes only.
