Adam Greer liked thisAdam Greer liked thisToday was a pretty special day. ❤️🧸 We officially broke ground on the 2026 Houston St. Jude Dream Home in The George, Johnson Development’s newest master-planned community in Richmond, Texas. Standing there today was a reminder of what it truly means to be part of something bigger than myself. This year, I have the privilege of being part of the St. Jude Dream Home campaign from start to finish — from the planning and fundraising efforts to watching the dream become a reality right before our eyes. But the most meaningful part isn’t the home itself. It’s what this home represents. It represents hope for children and families facing unimaginable circumstances. It represents the opportunity to help St. Jude continue its mission so that families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food while their child is receiving care. Being able to play even a small part in raising money that directly supports these patients and their families is something I don’t take for granted. Today, as we put the first shovel in the ground, I couldn’t help but think about how many lives this project will ultimately touch. A house is being built. But a whole lot more than a house is being built. Adam Greer liked thisAdam Greer liked thisFour years ago today, I joined ALSAC - the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. 💛 But my journey with St. Jude began long before my first day as an employee. I came to St. Jude as a mom. A terrified mom carrying her little boy through doors I never imagined we would have to walk through. I learned what it meant to have people fight for your child. To have strangers raise money so families like mine could focus on the only thing that mattered - their child. And after Carter died, I made him a promise: I would keep fighting. Four years ago, that promise became my profession. Today, I get to help children discover that they can make a difference. I get to work with schools, educators, families and incredible partners across the country who are raising money and awareness for the kids of St. Jude. Sometimes I still stop and think about how extraordinary that is. The little boy who changed my entire world is still changing the world - through me, through the people who support this mission, and through every child who decides to help another child. Four years at ALSAC. Fifteen years since St. Jude first became part of our story. And a lifetime of carrying Carter with me. This was never just a job. It’s purpose. It’s legacy. It’s love. And I am incredibly grateful that I get to do this work every single day. 🩵 For Carter. For every St. Jude family. Adam Greer liked thisAdam Greer liked thisThis summer, I had the opportunity to work with Chord Energy as a Production Engineering & Optimization field intern in North Dakota. This was a fantastic experience that allowed me to gain extensive knowledge of day-to-day oil & gas operations. Time working in the field is indispensable for the development of young engineers, and I am so thankful for Chord and all they allowed me to learn. Between my time in Houston and North Dakota, I learned extensively about Production Engineering, workover operations, and related data analytics. I was also able to gain general knowledge in all oil and gas disciplines from many site tours (drilling, completions, facilities, etc.). Big thanks to my mentor Kevin Roberts for the help on my summer project. Thank you to Tibor Cser at Liberty Lift Solutions, LLC for sharing his expertise with me in pump shop tours. Also, thanks Jesse Reuter for the incredible walleye fishing trip! Huge thanks to the entire Chord Energy team, especially the field guys that allowed me to shadow them, gave me tours, and shared their vast knowledge with me. My time spent in this program was wonderful and will surely have a positive impact on my career trajectory.

In a short time, I've had the privilege of relaunching our Clinical Supervision Program, supporting the continued growth of our Inpatient Social Work Fellowship, and most recently accepting a faculty appointment with the new UTHealth Houston School of Behavioral Health Sciences MSW Program as Seminar & Practicum Instructor and Field Practicum Supervisor. These opportunities bring together the work I am most passionate about, clinical excellence, education, mentorship, and developing the next generation of social workers. Looking back, it's clear this is the path I always hoped my career would take. I'm incredibly grateful for the trust, encouragement, and opportunities I've been given. TA/Recruiter job openings in the U.S. continue to climb (surprisingly!) For the first time in nearly three years, postings are holding steady above the 45,000 mark. The sharpest demand we’re seeing is from clients in Data Centers, AI, Aerospace Engineering, and VC-backed and pre-IPO tech. What’s especially interesting: this strength in TA roles is happening at the same time overall U.S. job openings are trending down (per the latest JOLTs report). August’s jobs report showed just 22K new jobs created nationwide, yet demand for recruiters is starting to surge. Why? My hunch: - Lowering interest rates are fueling capital expenditures in tech - IPO activity is picking up - VC funding is flowing again - Companies are positioning for broad hiring in tech Recruiting is often the “canary in the coal mine” for hiring cycles. If this momentum holds, it could signal a broader acceleration in tech hiring heading into 2026. 👉 Do you think this trend continues?
