    Wait, now that one video app can run my biz?!?! So I badlyyy need one tool for meetings, and notes, and collab docs, and CRM, and action items, and pitch decks, and... I think you get the idea. Here's my situation. I'm a one-person company. Two brands, actually—Future Social and a whole basketball thing. Multiple brand partnerships running at once, each with its own deadlines, contacts, and me constantly forgetting what I said in the last meeting and who I promised what. And right now I'm in France, my third continent in 6 months.... I'm tired. I always thought of Zoom as the video meeting  app. Click the link, talk to people, hang up. But now I'm at Cannes and finding out they've completely revamped their business, andddd it could completely revamp mine. Like, check this: THE MEETINGS I CAN'T ACTUALLY BE IN My whole business runs on calls. And I've been trying to do the impossible thing where I'm fully present in the conversation AND writing down every decision at the same time. I do neither well. The notes live in my head for about 40 minutes and then they're gone. AI note-taking that just sits in the meeting and catches the action items is the boring fix I've needed for years. THE DECK I REBUILD FROM SCRATCH EVERY TIME Every pitch, every workback schedule, every concept doc, I'm rebuilding the same things over and over, usually at 1am on a plane. Generating a real first-draft deck out of the meeting I just had, instead of staring at a blank slide, is SO BADLY NEEDED I SIMPLY MUST STOP MAKING EVERYTHING CUSTOM THE BACK OFFICE I'VE BEEN AVOIDING Contracts, invoicing, and CRM are basically just an inbox and a prayer for me right now. NOW ZOOM CAN DO ALL OF THAT. I'm literally writing this post as I laugh at how badly I need this thing in my life. In France. I'm talking about Zoom in France. That'll tell you how my brain works.     Somewhere along the way, work turned into a corporate scavenger hunt. -Need the latest company update? Check Yammer, err, Viva? -Need the HR policy? Is that Workday or HR Sharepoint? -Need to know what leadership said? Maybe email? Maybe chat? Maybe a recording? Maybe my colleague Brad has the link? Maybe AI can help? Cool. Let’s sprinkle AI across 78 tools, but name all the tools the same and hope everyone remembers where it lives. That’s the part that has always felt broken to me. Today, Workvivo by Zoom officially launched Workvivo HQ, and the reason I like this announcement is pretty simple: Work doesn’t need another destination. Work doesn't need another widget. Work needs a center. And that’s what the word HQ gets right. Not a portal. Not another app people visit once every quarter. Not some AI assistant floating off to the side waiting for adoption. A headquarters. A place where communication, knowledge, engagement, and action actually come together. And not just for the people sitting at desks all day. For everyone. -The CEO. -The manager. -The new hire. -The frontline worker. -The warehouse operative starting their shift before most of us have found coffee. That matters.     Every vendor at CCW Vegas called themselves AI-native. Zoom's CX chief says that's exactly the problem.    We caught up with Chris Morrissey, GM of Zoom Customer Experience on the expo floor at CCW Vegas — and he didn't pull any punches.  "AI-native, AI-first — those are buzz phrases. The real question is: are you creating better experiences across every channel? Or are you just building AI silos?"    He also told us why "unified platform" often means something very different in the back end. Why deflection is the wrong goal entirely.
