Today marks a special milestone for WideField Security. Cisco is announcing its intent to acquire WideField.
When we started this journey, we set out to solve a big problem. We believed identity would become one of the most important security challenges for defenders, and that existing approaches would not be enough for what was coming next.
We made real progress. We built something differentiated. We worked with incredible design partners and customers. We learned from every conversation, every rejection, every win, and every hard moment. But the journey is not over.
Joining forces with Cisco is huge validation of the problem we set out to solve and the product we built. More importantly, it gives us the platform, reach, and fuel to pursue the mission at larger scale.
As a founder, I have loved every minute of this journey. Building something from nothing takes creativity, conviction, and a willingness to keep going when the answer is no. It also takes a team of talented people who believe deeply in the outcome and are willing to live through the highs and lows together. I have been fortunate to have that team.
What excites me most about this next chapter is the opportunity to bring our expertise in identity threats to Cisco Splunk - a platform that is already loved and respected by security practitioners. A lot has changed in cybersecurity over the last six months. In a post-Mythos world, as AI agents begin to proliferate across the enterprise, defenders will need a much deeper understanding of identity, credentials, tokens, and sessions. We have an opportunity to help build that future.
I am deeply grateful to the people who believed in us early.
Thank you Manoj Apte and Ashmeet Sidana - Engineering Capital and WillowTree Ventures, and to our Series A investors Zach Sivertson, Greg Clark, Nico Popp, and the entire Crosspoint Capital Partners team.
Thank you to our early customers, design partners, and prospects, especially John McLeod, Damian Hasse, Yogesh Badwe, and many others I cannot name publicly. You challenged us, guided us, trusted us, and made us better.
My thanks to Devendra, Sandra, and Tami for joining us, bringing your best every day, making us better, and keeping us focused on our north star.
And to every engineer and researcher who worked on the product, thank you. Your work, creativity, and care are the reason we were able to build something truly special.
To the Cisco team Kamal Hathi, Kunal Mukerjee, Janey Hoe, Prasad Parthasarathi, and Jeetu Patel. Thank you for believing in us and showing us what the future looks like. We look forward to working with you.
And none of this would have happened without my friend and partner, Kartik. His drive, intellect, and instinct for real customer needs are second to none. I could not have asked for a better co-founder.
To everyone who has been part of this journey, thank you. Here's to a new beginning.
