Employee spotlight: Atul Raguveer 🔦 Atul went from investment banking at Morgan Stanley, to private equity at Insight Partners, to joining Rillet's internal BizOps team. Over the last 11 months he's built internal AI tools across ops, GTM, and accounting, and quietly became one of the people who makes this place run. 🌟 Now he's stepping into a new role: our first Finance Engineer 🌟 If you've talked to anyone on our team about Atul, you've probably heard some version of "relentless hustle, with a smile." He's the kind of person who shows up at the bi-weekly vibe coding sessions and just starts building something nobody asked for yet, and it usually ends up being exactly what we needed. Six months from now, someone will ask why that $80K accrual was booked the way it was. And you won't have to dig for the answer in an archived Slack thread or an email chain with two people who've since left. Because Rillet now lets you comment directly on contracts, bills, invoices, journal entries, and any other record. The reasoning lives on the record, where the auditor looks first.

Move over Duolingo, Aura is here to do the work. A customer's billing contact only speaks Spanish, but their invoice was in English. Normally that means finding a translator, waiting a few days, and letting the invoice age another week in AR. Instead, our team dropped the invoice into Aura and asked for it in Spanish. Aura translated it on the spot. That's what happens when AI lives inside the ledger instead of beside it. Aura works on your real invoices, not a demo dataset.

Last week's Vibe Coding session hit different 👀 Chris Ortega (aka the Fresh FP&A himself), pulled up and built an entire Quality of Earnings tool live in Claude, in about 2 hours, that normally takes his team 3-4 weeks and costs clients $15k.
