This page contains IGN's walkthrough for the side quest The Drakenborg Redemption from The Witcher 3's first DLC expansion, Hearts of Stone.

What seems to be the Northern Realms take on The Shawshank Redemption, this hidden treasure quest can be completed during another side quest, “Enchanting: Quality Has Its Price.” It is inside a cave just southeast of Hunter’s Cottage in northern Novigrad.

The middle marker is where the cave is located

In the entrance to the cave is a body with a note. Read it to learn a bit about this escaped prisoner and where the buried treasure is. You need to clear out all of the Arachnomorphs in both sections of the cave. This spiders can be a pain, since they move and dodge so quickly. Axii and Igni help slow the beasts down, giving you a chance to wail on them. If the first section gives you trouble, meditate before heading into the second area of the cave.

Clear the second area to grab the treasure in the center of the cave. With the treasure in hand, the quest is complete!
