Hearts of Stone is the first full DLC expansion for The Witcher 3. It tells a story set apart from the events of Wild Hunt, and introduces new characters, items, weapons, and locations.

Plot

Hearts of Stone follows Geralt as he gets caught up in a Faustian plot, having to grudgingly help both Gaunter O'Dimm, a mysterious character who has crossed the Witcher's path before, and Olgeird von Everec, leader of a group of roving bandit with the power of immortality.

New Witcher Gear

The Viper Gear is available exclusively thorugh the Open Sesame! questline and later during Whatsoever a Man Soweth.

Setting

While set in the existing world of The Witcher 3, Hearts of Stone opens up new locations within the area east of Novigrad. These include new dungeons, farms, castles and urban buildings.
