This page contains the locations and crafting requirements of the Feline Witcher Gear found in The Witcher 3.
The Cat School Feline Gear increases your chance to cause enemies to bleed, as well as increasing general defenses across the board. As with many of the Witcher Gear Sets, the Feline Gear encompasses all types - from Starting gear to Mastercrafted, and includes a set of Armor, two Swords, and a Crossbow.

Basic Feline Silver Sword
At the ruins of Est Tayiar in the eastern part of Velen, descend through the large hole in the ground to the tunnel beneath. On your right is a wall that can be destroyed with Aard - behind it you will find a skeleton with the diagram.
Basic Feline Steel Sword
Enter Drahim Castle, south of Novigrad, and descend the ladder to the lower floor. There you will find a chest containing the Steel Sword diagram.
Basic Feline Crossbow
Off the western coast of Redania (south-west of Novigrad) is a floating shipwreck near an island south of the lighthouse signpost. Climb aboard the ship and descend into the hold to find the chest containing the diagram.
Basic Feline Armor
Facing the tall tower on Novigrad's Temple Isle from the south, head down the switchback road and along the western cliffside behind the houses to find a path leading down below the tower.
You'll come across an Illusion, which you'll need Keira Metz's amulet (acquired during the main quest Wandering in the Dark) to pass. Inside the main chamber is a Golem - defeat it and follow the steps up the path on the left-hand side of the cavern.
Climb up to the next chamber to find several statues surrounding a large area. Kill any Wraiths that may appear and rotate all of the statues so that they face inwards. Once the floor opens, eliminate the drowners and swim to the bottom of the cave to collect the Laboratory Key from the skeleton and return to the main chamber.
Once inside the laboratory, you'll find the now-crazed former Witcher known as Mad Kiyan. Defeat him and loot his corpse to find the armor diagrams for the Cat School.
Enhanced Feline Witcher Gear
Enhanced Feline Gear is level 2 update of the basic Feline / Cat School Gear. This set is best for players level 23. Six set diagrams are scattered all over Novigrad and Velen. It’s pretty ease to acquire all the pieces since no enemies are in close vicinity.

Enhanced Feline Armor
Travel to the Aeramas' Abandoned Manor and head to the ruined building.
Head up the stairs and immediately hook right around the corner to find the chest next to a skinny bookshelf. This holds the Enhanced Feline Armor diagram.
Enhanced Feline Boots
Then head to the cave east of Toderas and go inside while using your Witcher Senses.
Not very far in and to the left is a chest which contains the diagram for Enhanced Feline Boots.
Enhanced Feline Gauntlets
Depending on whether or not you've been to Codger's Quarry before you may have to go through a few cutscenes with local miners and face some enemies before you can start looking for the diagram.
Head right to the back of the mine hugging the left-hand wall and your chest should be there.
Enhanced Feline Trousers
In the central island city of Velen head to the lower eastern corner. There's a building you can enter from the road by the water.
Go in and corner around the screen door to go down some stairs into the basement. This opens out into a series of caves, but we don't want to go through either of the metal doors, just stay in this large area.
On the opposite wall you can use your Witcher Senses to see that the bricks can be moved, and looking right from there will reveal a button to open this hidden door and reveal the chest.
Enhanced Feline Steel Sword
There's a cave off the road south-west of Toderas in Velen which is guarded by a bear.
Kill the bear and head straight past to claim the chest containing the diagram for the steel sword.
Enhanced Feline Silver Sword
Near the Oxenfurt Gate there's a ledge that hides a ladder which will grant you access to this building.
Go inside and climb the stairs to the next landing. At the foot of a floor bed is the chest you want.
Superior Feline Witcher Gear
Superior Feline Cat Gear diagrams are the third upgrade for basic Cat school gear. In order to apply them, you’ll first need the Enhanced Cat Gear. This set is suited for players level 25. Superior Feline diagrams are scattered around Velen (No Man’s Land). There are powerful enemies (level 18-27) guarding some of these diagrams.

Superior Feline Silver Sword
A cave West of Ursten is full of level enemies around level 18.
Kill them and head through the cave, turning left right when you enter the largest area. Up a ledge is a breakable wall which you need to destroy with the Aard sign. Behind this is your chest.
Superior Feline Steel Sword
There's a cavern across the water North East of the main city.
Swim inside and take care of the level 19 Golem. Behind the golem is a wooden deck and your chest is on that in between a barrel and some packages.
Superior Feline Armor
Tucked inside the corner of some ruins South West of Dragonslayers Grotto is the chest containing the complete set of Super Feline Armor diagrams.
Mastercrafted Feline Witcher Gear
Mastercrafted Cat Gear is one of the best light armor sets in the game – it massively improves stamina regeneration, adrenaline point generation and provides an immense increase in attack power. Level 31 is required to wear the armor, while the swords’ wielder needs to be level 30.

Mastercrafted Steel Sword
In the ruins of Kaer Gelen in Skellige there is a back entrance into a Wraith den.
Defeat the level 29 Wraiths and continue up the stairway. Midway there is an opening in the wall, step into it and find the chest.
Mastercrafted Silver Sword
On an Island to the South East in Skellige, East of Harviken you can find a cave part way up a hill.
Inside is a broken doorway which you need to move using your Aard ability. Continue down the stairs to find two chests, the one on the right contains the diagram for the Mastercrafted Silver Sword.
Mastercrafted Armor
The diagrams for the full set of armor is on the same island as the silver sword but further south, near Trottheim.
There's a cave on the coast that you need to swim into. head straight for land in the center of the cave and walk just into this main corridor. Behind some stalagmites is your chest.
Grandmaster Feline Witcher Gear
the Grandmaster Feline Witcher Gear is contained in the Blood and Wine expansion for The Witcher 3. It can only be crafted by the Grandmaster Smith in Beauclair. As with the other schools, there are four pieces of armor to acquire along with two swords.

Grandmaster Feline Armor
East of the Arthach Palace Ruins in Toussaint is a fort with a large locked door.
Come around to the right-hand side of the building until you get to some climbable scaffolding that will let you get into the compound and defeat the level 40 bandits inside.
This will trigger a cutscene where you can talk to a merchant to find out what happened and get permission to look around the area.
From the merchant head diagonally across to the white door and go inside. As you enter the second room there's a portrait on the wall which holds a letter and the diagram for the Feline Armor.
Grandmaster Feline Silver Sword
Ride west to the palace ruins and fight more bandits to clear out the area. Defeating them will trigger another cutscene where the ruins are reclaimed.
Go up the main building and from the central point turn right out to the landing near the blacksmith to claim the chest with another letter. Read it to continue the quest.
Grandmaster Feline Steel Sword
Go south of the ruins to a monster den and head inside the cave.
Proceed down the thin corridor and turn left when you enter the more open area towards the back of this section. Your Witcher senses should reveal loot containing the rest of the diagrams and a letter to finish the story.
