This page contains IGN's walkthrough for the side quest Enchanting: Quality Has Its Price from The Witcher 3's first DLC expansion, Hearts of Stone.

This quest will unlock the runewright’s shop for Geralt. It is immediately available after donating 5,000 crowns in the quest “Enchanting: Start-up Costs.” Head outside the runewright’s tent and make a left. In the barn you can find the pickaxe you’ll need to collect jade. With the pickaxe in hand, three new markers will appear on your map in northern Novigrad.

You’ll want to head for the marker in the middle of the three. This leads to a cave with enough jade for the runewright. Upon entering the cave, you may begin and complete another side quest, “The Drakenborg Redemption,” inside the cave. Simply loot the body near the entrance, read the note, and kill all the Arachnomorphs inside the cave to find the buried treasure in the back.

If treasure hunting isn’t your thing, simply remove any Arachnomorphs in the first area and then use your Witcher Senses to find the jade deposit in the center of the room. With the jade in hand, go back to the Upper Mill and the runewright to unlock his shop. The quest will be complete when you return.
