Cabaret

Cabaret is a Side Quest in Novigrad. This quest opens up after you save Dandelion in “A Poet Under Pressure.” Cabaret also melds into the side quest “Carnal Sins” immediately at its conclusion. To start the quest, head to the Rosemary & Thyme to see Dandelion in an argument with Priscilla. Dandelion wants to “evolve” the Rosemary & Thyme into a cabaret and he needs your help to do it.

First on Dandelion’s to-do list, is to borrow a prop sword from Madame Irina. You should remember her from the quest “The Play’s The Thing.” Head to her room next to the theater. Just go through the fence door and into the brick building. She’ll let you borrow a sword and it will be automatically equipped. Now head off to meet Dandelion outside Sophronia’s house. Meditate to anytime after sundown to meet him.

Note- The prop sword will stay equiped even after the quest. Make sure your re-equip your main steel sword afterward!

Dandelion will paint the picture for you. He wants to stage a robbery to win over a lady to lend him money. He gives you lines to read (if you so choose to) and disappears. Play out the scene how you wish and just hold the block button when you “fight” Dandelion. It will be over soon and you can head back to the Rosemary & Thyme and wait until morning. Inside, Priscilla is facing a dilemma with the stage builders. Help her choose what Dandelion would like by selecting a theatrical look.

Dandelion still has not returned, so go out and look for him. He is at his trusted choreographer’s home trying to persuade her husband to let her help out. To get inside the house, check under the water bucket on the right hand side of the door with your Witcher Senses. Head inside and help Dandelion convince the husband. After some smooth lingo, Dandelion needs you to find the man that made his placards to advertise the new place. Head off to his home to find him.

When you arrive, two thugs will be searching his home. No matter what you select, a fist fight will break out. Whether you defeat them or not, you learn that Rautlec is off at the races trying to win all his money back. Either ride Roach out there or Fast Travel as close as you can. When you arrive at the races you have three options.

Win the race- Offer to help the poor man by winning the race for him to wipe away the debt. It is an easy race and you should have no problem winning. If you do win, you get a master saddle and Dandelion gets his placards. If you lose, Rautlec is in more debt (275 crowns), and you may either pay his debts or leave him and forget the placards.
Pay his debts- Instead of racing, you may pay his debt of 200 crowns. In exchange for your generosity, he will deliver Dandelion’s placards pronto.
Ignore his troubles- You may also just leave him and Dandelion will just have to live without fancy placards.

When you have decided what to do with Rautlec, head back to the Rosemary & Thyme to see Dandelion. He is delighted about the launch and the quest will conclude. At this quest’s conclusion, the next side quest will automatically begin. It is titled “Carnal Sins.”
