This page contains IGN's walkthrough for the side quest Avid Collector from The Witcher 3's first DLC expansion, Hearts of Stone.

Avid Collector can only be accessed if you purchase the painting during the bid in the Hearts of Stone main quest “Open Sesame!” When you meet the art expert, make sure to point out the painting of the merchant. If you do so, he gives you a tip to buy the painting during the auction. Do NOT tell your pal Vivaldi about the tip though! If you do, you’ll have to pay 80 crowns instead of 20!

With the painting purchased, you can select the side quest at anytime to take it to a fan of the artist’s work. He resides in a book shop in the heart of Novigrad. The nearest signpost is “Hierarch Square” and the book store is directly north of the signpost.

Head inside and mention you have the painting. He will give you 500 crowns and a “Conserved Shaelmaar Trophy” which gives you a 5% boost on gold drops in combat situations. With the painting sold, the side quest is complete.
