This October shall be spent exploring CD Projekt Red's gorgeous new remaster of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, one of the undefeated best RPGs of the last two decades. Our first RPG Club meeting kicked us off in style, starting right from the beginning in White Orchard region, while our second gathering poses a new question to the RPG Club: Could the bestiary have been given a rework, too? Meanwhile, RPG club Week 3 takes us into a quest whose context changes depending upon where you are in the story - something one of our intrepid writers had no idea about when they discovered it for the first time this year.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered is finally here, with all the weighty choices and dynamic third-person combat you know and love from the 2015 original (with a few adjustments). But what's actually new in the remaster, and are the chances all that noticeable? That's what this month's RPG Club is intent on discovering. From the bitesized tutorial town of White Orchard to the bustling streets of Oxenfurt, the RPG experts of GamesRadar+ are here to walk you through their favorite Witcher 3 missions across four weekly articles, examining how the latest enhancements measure up against the fondness of memory and the game's own legacy.
Below you'll find your Quest Log, which explains the rules for this month's playthrough. Each week will see a new writer focusing on a standout mission, from the most famous ones to those you might have missed in your own past playthroughs. Sword first, questions later. Don't overuse Axii or talk your way out of potential combat (it's reworked, remember?)

In the first meeting of the RPG Club, Jasmine will explore all White Orchard has to offer and whether the RPG's new enhancements are palpable right from the off... If she manages to stop photographing everything and play the game properly, of course.

The second week of October's RPG Club takes us further in the game (the noisy taverns of Oxenfurt, more specifically) as Geralt hunts down a vampire with a penchant for high blood alcohol levels. But while stalking prey with the handy bestiary is made super easy in The Witcher 3 Remastered, could CDPR do well to make the whole monster-detective thing even more involved come The Witcher 4?

This week, our Evergreens Editor takes us on a journey into one of The Witcher 3 Remastered's most psychedelic quests as they experience it for the very first time in 2026. It's proof of how massive CDPR's RPG truly is, with the context and certain elements of the mission changing depending on whether you've completed certain main storyline missions. If this is news to you too, great news: the remaster offers the perfect opportunity for discoveries just like this one.

Meet this month's RPG Club hosts
Our first host for this month's RPG Club is Jasmine Gould-Wilson, kicking us off in the starter town of White Orchard. With one 140-hour Witcher 3 playthrough under her belt and countless other half-finished attempts, she is determined to rediscover the enthralling magic that got her so invested in this RPG series in the first place.
The Witcher 3 has become one of Jasmine's key beats, having written countless features for GamesRadar+ on all of her favorite moments from blistering boss fights to the politics of love (note: Team Yen forever). This time around, she can't wait to dive back into The Continent and finally understand the skill tree now that it's been reworked – and maybe she'll stop to watch a few sunsets over Velen.
Our second host for RPG Club is Joel Franey, who used the Remastered edition rerelease to finally go back and finish his fourth playthrough of the game. With Witcher 4 on the horizon and over a decade of overthinking the previous game, he realises now that there's one thing that the 2015 classic never really got to grips with - and one particular hunt shows exactly why
Our third writer for this month's RPG Club is Heather Wald, Evergreen Editor for games at GamesRadar+. She's one of the team's true specialists in the field of roleplaying games, and The Witcher 3 is no exception. Heather was enjoying playing the remaster in her own time when she stumbled upon a particular mission she thought might intrigue the RPG Club, and she's excited to tell you all about Geralt's little "trip"...
