Pokémon Pokopia Bubbly Basin walkthrough
Including the Bubbly Basin unique materials.
Bubbly Basin is the area included in Part One of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass. This means you need to part with some real world cash if you want to visit this underwater town! If you have purchased the Pokopia DLC, then it's a good idea to know how to get Dive and start the DLC before properly diving into Bubbly Basin. Though, if you're already set, jump into the Pokopia Bubbly Basin walkthrough down below.

Pokopia Bubbly Basin walkthrough
Down below you'll find my complete Bubbly Basin walkthrough. Before we get started though, make sure you know how to get Dive and how to start the DLC.
- First, follow Popplio to the centre of town and talk to them there. After this, you will need to raise Bubbly Basin's Environment Level to three by making habitats and finding new Pokémon.
- If you'd like a hand with this, check out my guide to all Bubbly Basin habitats and the Bubbly Basin Pokémon list.
- Before you start working on that, however, it's a good idea to find the Pokémon Center. To do this, head through the nearby passageway with the traditional Pokémon Center design. Head up the stairs and out of the water to find the ruined Pokémon Center and working PC!
- Doing so will unlock the 'Rebuild the Pokémon Center' Important Request for Bubbly Basin.
- You may also want to take the time to make a home for yourself, so you can fast travel back to Bubbly Basin.
- After reaching Environment Level 3, head back and talk to Popplio. Follow them and then talk to them again. This will start the 'Build the beautiful building' Important Request.
- Alongside completing the above Important Request, now is the time to consider rebuilding the Pokémon Center. The Pokémon Center rebuilding kit can be purchased from the PC for 1,000 Life Coins. Here's what you need to build it:
- 25 Star-spotted Rock
- 5 Shiny Pearl
- 10 Seashell
- 10 Sea Glass Fragments
- Eight Pokémon:
- One must have Build Speciality
- One must have Bulldoze Speciality
- One must have Scrub Speciality
- Build Time - Next Day
- Once you've rebuilt the Pokémon Center and completed the 'Build the beautiful building' Important Request, Professor Tangrowth will give you a ring and unlock the 'Raise the Environment Level' Important Request for Bubbly Basin. Just like always, this requires you to get the area's Environment Level to 5. You'll be rewarded with a Music Box once you complete this request.
- The easiest way to achieve this is to get as many Pokémon in Bubbly Basin as possible, because this will naturally boost the overall Environment Level even if the Pokémon don't have strong individual Environment Levels.
Bubbly Basin Pokémon Center Requirements
Once you've completed all of the important steps in Bubbly Basin, you're free to do whatever you like to the area and there's certainly a lot more to explore. From the ocean's depths to finding new Pokémon to uncovering new items, you've got a lot of work still to do in Bubbly Basin! (Don't forget about getting to Environment Level 10 either…)

Pokopia Bubbly Basin map
As with the past Pokopia area maps, it's important to remember that the Bubbly Basin map is not static. Instead, it will change to match the changes you yourself place upon the landscape of Bubbly Basin. There's also technically two different maps for this area: one for the surface and main underwater areas, and another for the deep underwater sections.
