Problem/Motivation

The project has no .gitlab-ci.yml, so merge requests get no pipeline. The only test lives in test/src/Unit. Neither core's PHPUnit configuration nor GitLab CI discovers tests there, so it never runs. Without a composer.json, CI does not install Queue UI, which MonitoredQueueUIManager extends.

A CI file was proposed before in !3 (#3434069: Automated Drupal 11 compatibility fixes for queue_stats), !5 (#3558615: fix dependency injection in EstimatedTimeToFinish) and !6 (#3581728: Write automated tests). This issue adds it on its own, so that the open merge requests get a pipeline before they are merged.

Steps to reproduce

Open any merge request: no pipeline runs.

Proposed resolution

  • Add the standard gitlab_templates .gitlab-ci.yml. Opt in to the previous major (Drupal 10) and run it automatically on pushes and merge requests.
  • Add a composer.json with drupal/queue_ui: ^3.2 as a dev dependency.
  • Move test/ to tests/ and make the data provider static, as PHPUnit 10 and later require.
