Problem/Motivation

The 9.0.0-alpha1 release uses release-specific version references in library metadata and deployment templates. The ongoing 9.x development branch should use 9.x-dev.

Proposed resolution

Restore the references updated for the alpha release to 9.x-dev, including deployment templates, without changing the published release tag.

Remaining tasks

  • Check the version substitutions and validate the deployment templates.
  • Run CI on Drupal 11.4 and Drupal 12.

MR!2403 restores the 60 version references to 9.x-dev, including the deployment templates. The released 9.0.0-alpha1 tag remains unchanged.

Pipeline 1026091 passed Composer, coding standards, PHPStan, and all PHPUnit shards for Drupal 11.4 and Drupal 12 development. Static YAML, CloudFormation choices, and PHP syntax were also checked.
