Recently it has come to my attention that users in my groups are composing their work using ai means. To make matters less savory DA is backing ai as well. I find it strangely odd that DA has chosen this path. Quite frankly not sure who's benefiting from this? I have no issues whether you use the technology or not outside my groups. It becomes a problem if is within my groups. We don't accept ai under any circumstances. Period. If in the future voting on it becomes imperative, we will take the proper measures to do so.

My opinion on ai is non-apologetic one. I feel its robbing of the true essence of what art is and always has been. Morally, is a far worse dilemma. If you are doing this for the sake of page views and popularity then you are in the wrong business! When art starts looking eerily the same is time to stop and think for a moment. This is the case with ai. Every single ai piece I have looked at has a machine appeal to it. It's disconcerting to say the least.

The people that praise this kind of new found God is no different than what other technologies have done to the human race. I can name a few but am not going there.

You have a degree of responsibility and obligation to your followers/audience in letting them know that ai was used in some form or other in any given work. Known artists here in DA are starting to dabble in the tech but, are omitting the fact that they have used ai as part of their process. If you have, don't keep it from the people that believe in your work. It's flat out rude.

Am not going to make this journal in to some philosophical rambling because is not worth it. Others know very well of my 2 cents on this topic. So, am keeping it civil.

One last thing if ai made such profound impact in you as a professional artist then you must rethink what it means to be an artist. Why? Simple… the thought process has just flown out the window in case you haven’t noticed. Now, the inner creativity has taken a backseat, replaced and aided with artificial intelligence based on other people's work. Food for thought.

Please, all I ask is to be honest from the get-go towards others, specially the ones that have a connection with your work.
