Somewhere years ago, I met you in the falling snow. Your eyes they shined like new born stars, we laughed and sang online in fast cars. Through valleys and towns our horses rode, and married in a Victorian abode. We loved from a distance and through a screen, though real life was different and often mean. Our souls entwined through every storm, seeking that place we once felt warm. You were my home, and I your guide and friend. Knowing that one day it would meet its end. The times we smoked out in the rain, or shared a drink beside the kitchen drain. No word was said, no I love yous. But when I'd leave you held me true. I'll never see that smile again, that sparkling eye or mischievous grin. I'll never hear another cry, or a frustrated jealous scream asking me why. You were my Angel, my shining light.
