Between 1986 and 1989, while working at photo labs in the Fullerton and Anaheim area, a set of Carol Burnett publicity negatives—originally dropped off from the office of Rick Ingersoll, Public Relations—came through the lab. The client never returned for them, and after multiple attempts to contact them, the materials were classified as abandoned. Per lab policy, unclaimed work had to be purged. Before they were discarded, I asked if I could keep the negatives, and the lab agreed—saving them from being destroyed.

Claire Dodd

Claire Dodd was known as one of the most beautiful blonde actresses in the film industry in the 1930's. This eye-catching starlet appeared on the silver screen alongside such greats as James Cagney, Bing Crosby, Eddie Cantor, and Abbott & Costello. In all, she appeared in 67 films during her dazzling career.

However, her 1942 marriage to H. Brand Cooper changed all of that. Seemingly a Hollywood creation itself, the two apparent lovebirds bore four children. She had moved from friendships with people like Bette Davis and Humphrey Bogart to the quieter home life that so many women entered into.

However, there is a side to her story that is darker than the seemingly normal Hollywood-to-homemaking journey she made. That side rotates around the mysterious H. Brand Cooper, the troubled accounts of the family regarding his motives in the marriage, her death, and the strange events that would lead another woman to take Claire Dodd's place in many...

...disturbing ways.

Who was Claire Dodd? What role did H. Brand Cooper play in her death? What happened with the woman who took Claire Dodd's place? This story of greed, secrets, and twisted romance goes deep and digs into the heart of the golden age of Hollywood.

AINightmares

A whisper from the shadows...

My followers of DeviantPast,

There's a new corridor opening beneath the old halls, an offshoot we're calling AINightmares.

In this new realm, the stories born from my original images will twist onward through AI-crafted visions. Moving pictures, shifting scenes, and strange echoes that continue where the old tales left off. Some will be macabre, stitched from the same darkness you've come to expect... but not all spirits lurking there are cruel. A few may surprise you with light, warmth, or unsettling cheer... because even nightmares have moments where the moon forgets to hide.

If you wish to see the shadows change and the stories evolve, follow me into AINightmares.

The door is open. The lights flicker. Choose your step carefully.

Faces in the Fog of Fame

In the haze of the 90s, Mr. Braun wandered through dimly lit clubs, capturing these bands with raw ambition. The artists in these photos were unknown then. Some burning bright with promise...

They were the shooting stars, caught mid-flight. Now, decades later, does anyone recognize their spark?

I'm asking you now - the watchers, do you know who they are? Did they rise? Did they vanish? Did they become something no one expected?

If a face stirs a memory, leave a trace. Every whisper helps us reconstruct their story.

Let's uncover what time has created!
