Welcome aboard!
We only don't accept gallery submissions in this group. We are dedicated to helping new and returning Deviants navigate the site more easily and tailor their DA experience to their particular kind of fun, weird, or quirky. If you'd like to suggest an item that would help others in this regard, click the three-dot menu below the cover image and click the "Message Admin" link to send us a Message and we'll check it out!
The group doesn't handle Staff-related issues. If you're experiencing a bug, have a problem with a feature or product, or for anything else that might require Staff help, please submit a ticket to the Support team. You can find information for contact Support in the box on the right.
Don't advertise in the Comments. The group Comment section is for people asking for assistance with navigating the site, providing feedback on making this group better, and for general questions about DeviantArt and the community. Don't advertise llama trades, hype swaps, Originals, Exclusives, other websites, et al. Off subject comments will be removed.
Respect each other. We are here to help you have a great DeviantArt experience, so please keep all discourse civil and on subject. Bullying, harassment, block evading, etc. are against TOS and offending profiles will be banned from this group and reported to DeviantArt Staff.
Let's keep it clean, people!
Fella: The official, genderless mascot of the art community DeviantArt. Created in 2001, he is a small, greenish-grey anthropomorphic daemon with floating limbs, large angular eyebrows, and cone-shaped ears. He represents the cheeky, mischievous creative spirit inside every artist. ![]()
Deviant: A registered member of the community (an artist or an art enthusiast).
Deviation: Any individual piece of artwork, literature, photography, or video uploaded to the site by a deviant.
Journal: Essentially a blog post. It allows users to write long-form text, share news, and communicate with their followers outside of traditional artwork submissions.
Profile Badges: Flair for your profile that can be earned by taking part in official contests and events, or granted from deviant to deviant. View some of them by going here!
DeviantArt Membership: Officially known as Core Membership, is an optional premium subscription for artists and users on the DeviantArt platform. It unlocks advanced tools for monetizing your art, customizing your profile, and boosting your visibility within the community.
Subscriptions: A monetization tool that allows artists to earn a steady monthly income by sharing exclusive, top-tier content and insights directly with their supporters.
Welcome to the best spot on DeviantArt for new or returning fellas to find their particular kind of weird! We're happy to give you tips on navigating the site, provide definitions for some common terms you'll see while browsing, and help you streamline your art exploration to ensure you have the best DeviantArt experience possible.
My name is @R-4-Z-I-E-L and I am the DeviantArt Ambassador who will be valiantly running this group along with many other hard working fellas! Feel free to browse group boxes, galleries, and posts as everything is properly sorted and updated weekly by our group admin. So whether you're new to the site or just coming back online after a break, we've got you covered with the DA basics!
DeviantArt lists the Terms of Service (TOS) that every user must follow in order to participate on DA. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the rules before you start publishing artworks or engaging with others in order to make sure your actions are consistent with platform guidelines. Disregarding the TOS can lead to some less-than-great results including profile suspensions or the removal of submitted artworks, and no one wants that to happen! Take a little time now to read the TOS and save yourself from future heartache.
This group can help you navigate the site and decipher common phrases, but admittedly we're only giving you a high level overview here in @DA-TourGuide. For a more comprehensive look into DeviantArt features and products we encourage you to check out the Help Center directory. Use the "search" feature in the Help Center to find articles from the DA Staff explaining every feature, product, service, and process available to users. If you have a question, it's pretty likely the answer can be found in the Help Center!
We're definitely not the right place to help fix bugs, wonky features, or other problems you might encounter in your art discovery journey on DeviantArt. Luckily, they have a whole team to help you with support requests on the site. Visit the Contact page and select the appropriate categories to get help from the Support team at DA. Staff may ask for screenshots or links to investigate an issue, so make sure you got your "receipts" in order; the more information you can provide, the faster Staff can solve the problem.
Like any large community online, you may occasionally come across materials in violations of the TOS including spam comments or Messages, unacceptable artworks or discussions, incorrectly tagged Mature or NSFW items, et al. Luckily, DA makes it easy to report these offending materials by including a "report" option on every profile, deviation, Message, etc. Just click on the three-dot menu available on any item to find the "report" option. Reporting keeps the entire platform community-friendly, so do your part and use the report option if you see a violation.
Like almost every other site on the internet, blocking is the best way to avoid conflict and ignore a person that makes you uncomfortable, etc. This also prevents them from interacting with your art, your posts, and everything else you make. Take note that evading a block can get you into a bit of trouble, so respect someone when they block you, or the other way around. Try to be civil, no drama, and go about your day!
