Season 2 is coming soon to Marathon, and it’s a great entry point for those who want to try the game out. If you’re a veteran, you’ll have plenty of new content to enjoy. If you’re new, you’ll get a free-to-play period to try out the game.

Marathon Season 2 release countdown
The season begins on Tuesday, June 2, and the following countdown expires when the new content is available.
The countdown is based on the following times.
- 10am PT
- 12pm CT
- 1pm ET
- 5pm UTC
- 6pm BST
The timing is based on Bungie, and any changes this late are unlikely. There will be maintenance before the update goes live on all platforms. You’ll also need to download the updated version to enjoy all the new content.
What to expect from Marathon Season 2
As mentioned above, there is plenty of new content to enjoy in Season 2. There will be a new map along with a new Runner Shell. We were already teased with both pieces of content, but we will need to wait for the launch to get a better idea.

You’ll find the sponsored kit in your in-game inbox. If you’re yet to hit a milestone, you have a few more hours to get the job done. There should be more in-game changes as well as part of the incoming patch, so that’s also something to watch out for.
