How to unlock shipbuilding in Crimson Desert

The game has various prerequisites before you get to build your ship. First you must do the following:

  • Complete the A Call from Beyond the Horizon quest. It’s part of the Wider World questline.
  • Once you begin the quest, follow the objective marker.
  • You’ll come across Greymanes who will discuss “seeking new horizons”.
  • Complete the conversation to unlock shipbuilding.

You can now start to build your ship, but it takes a bit more work to get your vessel ready for travel.

How to build your ship in Crimson Desert

To build your ship, you’ll need to complete a few more steps.

  • Open the in-game map.
  • Locate the available parts on the map. You can pick any port you want since there’s no mandatory one.
  • Select the port and go to details.
  • You’ll find Shipbuilding from Missions.
  • Spend the required currency and assign comrades to complete building the ship.

When you choose to build a ship, you’ll find the requirements on the same screen. You need to meet these criteria before assigning your workers to complete the construction process.

Once construction is done, head to the Harbor Notice Board. Speak with your comrades, and you’ll get to know more about the bounties. Next, collect the supplies and speak with your Ship Manager at the docks. Finally, you’re all set to sail on your adventures.
