WELCOME TO SEASON 03 RELOADED

 

The ongoing battle between JSOC and The Guild heats up as the balance of power shifts. With guidance from Karma, expert infiltrator Cole “Javelin” Donovan has successfully hacked into The Guild’s system using his C-Link device, allowing JSOC to turn The Guild’s own defenses against them. Will they use this newfound advantage to push toward victory and tear apart the oppressive conglomerate? Or will their enemies regroup in time for the counterattack?

 

Season 03 Reloaded fans the flames with a firestorm of new content across all modes, including new experiences like Heat Wave Havoc and Free Run joined by extra maps, game modes, the next Round-Based Zombies Map, Totenreich, and additional Weapons, Blueprints, Operator Skins and more earned across Mid-Season Events and Weekly Challenges. 

New and Returning Maps

Onsen (6v6, 2v2)

  • Assault a remote onsen in Yamanashi as a clandestine deal falls apart and fighting erupts. In this small-sized map designed for 6v6 and 2v2 play, Operators deploy to a slice of paradise in the mountains, though there’s no time to relax until the enemy is defeated.

 

Summit (6v6)

  • The iconic Summit returns as players breach a dangerous Russian facility perched atop a snow-covered mountain. This classic mid-sized map was first introduced in the original Black Ops, its three-lane layout funneling Operators into hot zones like the central control room and across the narrow cliffside and catwalk.

 

Hacienda (6v6)

  • Attack a fortified crime family estate as rival forces storm the mansion grounds in Hacienda, a classic mid-sized map centered in and around the grand villa.

 

New Weapons

Siren (Special Weapon, Event Reward)

  • Charge energy weapon. Fires a high-damage, slow-moving projectile that passes through foes. Charge to improve projectile velocity.
  • Inflict high damage on enemies with this Special Weapon that fires a slow-moving projectile, its velocity increasing as you charge the weapon before letting loose on your target.

 

Katana (Melee, Event Reward)

  • Melee weapon. High damage, moderate range, and moderate attack speed.
  • Attack enemies up close with a combination of slashes and overhead attacks. Press the heavy attack button to hold the weapon up high, releasing at the perfect moment to inflict maximum damage.

 

New Weapon Attachments

MK.78 Lightframe PDW Conversion (Weekly Challenge Reward)

  • A drastic weight reduction allows for more mobile and aggressive usage while retaining much of its power at the expense of additional recoil and reduced damage range.

 

Warden 308 Badlands Pistol Kit (Weekly Challenge)

  • Heavy pistol configuration that sacrifices some control and range for improved handling and mobility with strong firepower at close range. Supports akimbo and three additional Barrel Attachments.

 

Carbon 57 Fabricator Mag (Weekly Challenge)

  • State of the art magazine that automatically replenishes its own ammo by fabricating additional rounds as soon as you stop firing.

 

Ryden 45K Apex Sweeper Rig (Weekly Challenge)

  • Rounds that break apart in flight dealing damage with each piece that connects. Converts the weapon to semi-auto.

 

New and Returning Multiplayer Modes

Freerun (Launch)

  • The Guild is seeking early volunteers for a new Project Synapse training program, providing contestants the opportunity to prove themselves as you race against the clock while overcoming obstacles.
  • When the race begins, follow the track to progress through an increasingly demanding 10 zones, testing your abilities across a variety of challenges. Pull off difficult Wall Jumps, slide under low walls, hop across spinning platforms, and, as the course ramps up, use a variety of weapons to hit targets, opening the path forward.
  • Later zones will further challenge you with the addition of the Grappling Hook and Wingsuit, ensuring that contestants are tested on every facet of combat maneuvers. With ten racers per match, you’ll need to keep up your momentum to pull ahead.
  • Rewards
    • Complete the Freerun: Ascent course three times to earn the “Scaled” Emblem and 1,000 XP.
    • Collect all Ciphers in Freerun: Ascent to earn the “Upswing” Weapon Charm and 2,500 XP.
    • Complete the Freerun: Ascent course in under 14 minutes with fewer than 10 faults to earn the “Innovate” Universal Weapon Camo and 5,000 XP.

 

Heat Wave Havoc (In-Season)

  • Operators progress through five different Heat Levels, each level granting additional abilities improving combat efficiency. Generate heat through support actions like revealing enemies, scrambling enemy radars, buffing teammates, impairing enemies, capturing and defending objectives, and other non-lethal actions.
  • Support your team to generate heat and gain Operator bonuses based on your Heat Level as follows:
    • Low Heat: Faster Field Upgrade recharge.
    • Medium Heat: Faster movement, sprint-to-fire speed, and mid-air mobility.
    • Hot: Faster weapon reloads, ADS speed, and swap speed.
    • Extra Hot: Equipment refills after eliminating enemies.
    • Extra Extra Hot: Increased damage and score for headshots.

 

Freeze Tag (In-Season)

  • A 6v6 respawn mode where teams compete to freeze the enemy while keeping their allies in the fight. Freeze enemies to score, shatter teammates to bring them back, and freeze the entire enemy team for a bonus. Proximity chat is enabled.
  • If one team manages to freeze the entire enemy team, a Total Freeze will occur, releasing all Operators from their frozen status and awarding the team who froze all enemies a large score boost. Use your mini-map to track the location of frozen teammates, so you can prevent a Total Freeze from being inflicted on your side. The first team to reach the score limit wins.

 

New Zombies Survival Map: Totenreich

 

“Welcome to Eidskallen – Sorry about the reception committee.” — The Twins

 

The time loop is broken, and following the Dark Heart’s defeat in Paradox Junction, the Twins transport the crew to a new destination: Eidskallen, a Norse fishing village on a blustery, windswept coast that has been inhabited since the late Bronze Age.

The Main Quest for Totenreich becomes available when the map releases with Season 03 Reloaded. Complete the Main Quest to earn the following:

  • The “Ambition” Richtofen Operator Skin, Calling Card, and 10,000 XP.
  • Complete Totenreich Mastery Challenge for another Calling Card and 5,000 XP.
  • Obtain the necessary Intel (Audio Logs, Documents, and Artifacts) to earn a third Calling Card and another 10,000 XP.
  • Players who complete the Main Quest before Directed Mode arrives for this map will also earn a unique Calling Card variant.

 

New Zombies Wonder Weapon: Jotunn Star

This wide-sweeping Melee Wonder Weapon can take on even the most cold-hearted of enemies, stealing their souls for use in generating devastating attacks. A Norse artifact fortunately hidden from Group 935’s covetous hands by those on the island familiar with its myths and “old ways,” the Jotunn Star casts light and deadly fire.

 

New Zombies Enemy: Necropincer

Tales tell of a doomed undead Viking warrior spirit—known to some as a Draugr— challenging invaders to vicious armed combat. It seems the presence and the sheer brutality of Group 935 have awakened an unnatural aberration that rises from the cold seas to aid in the protection of Eidskallen.

 

New Zombies Field Upgrade: Wild Fire

  • Imbue yourself with fire, increasing your speed and burning all enemies that get too close.
  • When the swarm is on you, or you need to push through the thick of it, Wild Fire may keep you safe. Activating this Field Upgrade radiates pulses of heat from your location that also engulfs enemies near the wielder, while you enjoy a small increase in speed.
    • Major Augments
      • Fireball! While Wild Fire is active, fire balls will launch along with your attacks.
      • Firestorm: On activation, deploy a fire tornado that pulls in and immolates enemies.
      • Free Radical: While Wild Fire is active, the effects of the attack occasionally drop pools of fire on the ground.
      • Flashover: Starting with the initial activation, every third Wild Fire pulse deals significantly more damage in a larger radius.
    • Minor Augments
      • Oxidizer: Increase Wild Fire’s duration.
      • Backdraft: On activation, nearby zombies are knocked down, and larger enemies are stunned.
      • Molten Core: Enemies are dealt more damage the closer they get to you.
      • Heat Surge: While Wild Fire is active, your movement speed is increased even further.

 

Endgame Remains Free to Play

Endgame will remain available as a free-to-play game mode for a limited time. Access the mode from the main Call of Duty menu and within Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops 7. Recruit new players to face the challenges within Avalon in this co-operative PvE mode where squads encounter increasingly difficult combat zones while taking on bosses and repeatable challenges while evolving their Operator along the way.

 

Endgame Act II: Operation Broken Mirror

Our insider has established a link. Infiltrate the Guild network and gather enough Diagnostic Data to develop a virus that can destroy the network.

 

Act II is about breaking the system, not just learning it. With JSOC now linked to Javelin following Operation Poison Pill, the team confirms The Guild’s attempt to stand up a mirror C‑Link network. Karma’s objective is clear: build a virus powerful enough to shut it down... but doing so requires first mapping the network’s true structure.

Earn new rewards for every completed objective, including powerful upgrades for your Operator that will aid them in future steps.

 

In the final step, gain access to the new Virus Injection Glitch and take on the Glitch Boss. Operation rewards include a new Weapon Blueprint, Emblem, Double XP Token, Restore Token, Loading Screen, and more, detailed below.

 

Note that while Operation Poison Pill started with objectives that needed to be completed in Zone I or higher, Operation Broken Mirror begins with a Zone III or higher requirement right from Step 1, so ensure your Operator is up to the task before starting this Operation!

 

Earn a variety of valuable rewards and get powered up as you progress through the steps. Discover the location of the Virus Injection Glitch and take on waves of enemies and the Glitch Boss in Nightmare Difficulty.

Act II Skin Completion Camos:

  • Earn 1 “Aftershock” Operator Skin to get the “Braincase” Weapon Camo.
  • Earn all 3 “Aftershock” Operator Skins to get the “Neon Gallows” Animated Weapon Camo.

  • “Adrenal Drive” Weapon Charm and 1,000 XP
  • Restore Token and 1,000 XP
  • 1 Hour Double Player XP Token and 1,000 XP

New Endgame Abilities & Skills 

 

Thermal Spike- Emit a powerful blast of flames that incinerate enemies. Flames persist in the area for a short duration.

  • Heat up your future deployments with the new Thermal Spike Major Ability. Set fire to your foes and finish them off before the flames expire.

 

Conductive Shot (Exotic Skill) - When firing any weapon sometimes a taser is fired that can get glued to the enemy and inflict tics of damage for a limited time.

  • Upgrade: Increase the amount of tasers fired per activation
  • Final Upgrade: Longer duration and now tasers can get glued to all enemies 

 

Wingman Unit (Nightmare Skill) - Doing multiple kills in a short period of time spawns a Drone that follows you while shooting nearby enemies.

  • Upgrade: Increases the rate of fire and duration of the Drone.
  • Final Upgrade: Drone shots have a chance to trigger the Shrapnel effect. 

 

New Exotic Weapons

 

Two new Exotic Weapons added: 

  • Pulsebreach: Burst Marksman Rifle modified for maximum destructive power. Affinity for Shrapnel Rounds.
  • Reboot: Semi-auto pistol augmented for versatility and power. Affinity for Shock Rounds.

 

New Endgame Activity: Mega Abomination

Face a new boss that spawns in Nightmare Zones once the Guild Strike boss for the zone has been conquered! Defeating the Mega Abomination guarantees an Exotic Weapon Case drop, so the encounter should be well worth your time... if you survive.

 

Season 03 Reloaded Events

RoboCop Event Pass

Part man. Part machine. All Operator. RoboCop doles out justice with the RoboCop Event Pass arriving in Season 03’s Mid-Season.

ANTI-CHEAT

 

We’re continuing to strengthen our anti-cheat systems to better protect players and ensure fair matches across all platforms. These changes do not apply until Season 04, at which point you can expect the following:

 

New Security Requirement: Microsoft Azure Attestation (MAA)

  • Microsoft Azure Attestation (MAA) will be required on PC to access most playlists. This system will help us verify that your PC environment hasn’t been tampered with, which is a key step in preventing cheating.

 

What This Means for PC Players

  • Players whose systems aren't compliant will see a message alerting them that Failed Attestation Status was applied and matchmaking will be adjusted.
  • Those attempting to play with others who have failed attestation will see a message that Failed Attestation Status is applied because one or more party members did not meet secure attestation requirements.

 

To be fully compliant, your system will need:

  • TPM (Trusted Platform Module) enabled
  • Secure Boot enabled

 

These are Windows security features that help verify your system is running in a trusted state. If you need help updating your settings, read our Player Support page.

 

If Attestation Fails

  • Players without these features enabled will be placed into limited matchmaking.

 

If you are placed into a limited matchmaking pool you will be:

  • Unable to match with players whose systems meet our requirements
  • Unable to match with console players

  • Added 21 new Prestige Master Titles & Challenges.

X9 Maverick

Adjustments:
We have seen a lot of feedback and questions surrounding the X9 Maverick Javelin Assembly. There was an issue that caused this to go live without its intended projectile tuning, and as a result its impaling behavior was also not functioning as intended. With Season 03 Reloaded, the spear will have a slightly higher velocity, less drop-off, and better effectiveness at hitting multiple players. It will also be launching and impaling enemy corpses to every surface imaginable, which was always meant to be the core fun of this attachment. That said, we may make additional gameplay adjustments based on the early feedback and any new feedback that comes in after the update.

 

X9 Maverick Javelin Assembly Attachment Adjustments

  • Projectile velocity improved from 142m/s to 152m/s.
  • Significantly reduced effect of gravity on projectile.
  • Significantly reduced projectile velocity falloff after impacting a player.

The Carbon 57 is receiving a new Fabricator Mag attachment in Season 03 Reloaded, and we want to make sure both that magazine and the Prestige magazine offer distinct and compelling build paths. We decided to rework the Prestige magazine to fit mid-range builds and open the way for the post-launch magazine to boost aggressive play.

  • Addressed an issue where Tactical Expert Wildcard could sometimes grant an extra Tactical and Lethal.

  • Scrambler
    • Addressed an issue where destroying the Scrambler could cause the player’s minimap marker to disappear for the remainder of their life while within the Scrambler’s radius.

 

Scorestreaks 

  • Lockshot
    • Lock-on time reduced to 0.65s and is now consistent across the base version and both Overclocks.
    • 'Quick-Lock' Overclock has been removed.
    • Added new 'Long-Shot' Overclock: Lockshot lock-on range increased from 145 to 230 feet.
    • Updated lock-on animation; red diamonds now appear faster.
  • Ion Core
    • Addressed an issue where players could not melee the Ion Core.
    • Addressed an issue where the Ion Core dealt more damage than intended to players with the Tech Mask Perk equipped.
  • Rhino
    • Addressed an issue where players could not see some other Scorestreaks through walls when using Engineer while piloting a Rhino.

 

UI 

  • Addressed an issue where changing a loadout mid-match would occasionally revert your cursor’s selection to the first loadout

    • Addressed an issue with the Temporal Conduit having an option to pay half without the prompt appearing on the widget in Solo matches.

    • Addressed an issue that prevented spectating players from respawning after defeating the Boss and selecting continue to play.

    • Addressed a rare issue that caused players to get stuck on the Pack-a-Punch Machine when it is coming down.

    • Addressed an issue that caused players to be out of playable space when hit by the meteorites in Abyssal Rim during a Special Round.
    • Closed an exploit with the platform used in the Quest by damaging players if they stay on it for more than 100 seconds.
  • Ashes of the Damned
    • Addressed an issue related to Ol' Tessie’s physics and the Shatter Blast Ammo Mod explosion.
    • Addressed an issue that prevented Klaus from reviving a downed player if the player was at the edge of the top ascender platform and Klaus was at ground level in Market Square.
    • Addressed an issue that sometimes caused an RPG to be seen briefly before the Necrofluid Gauntlet appears inside the Vault of Flesh.
    • Addressed multiple collision issues.
    • Addressed numerous minor visual issues.

      • Addressed an issue that caused the "Objective Updated" notification splash to appear when completing steps out of order.
      • Addressed an issue with the prompt for melting the mannequins to appear on players who had no acid.
      • Addressed an issue that instructs players to refill the flask with acid while it's filled after reloading a save.

      • Addressed an issue that prevented the objective from updating after collecting the Bones during the Visions of the Forgotten when reloading a save.

      • Matches will now check if any players in a lobby have satisfied the requirements to spawn the Relic challenges set. If one player has the requirements, then it will spawn for all.
      • Addressed an issue that allowed players to change the active relics on a Tier 0 lobby when joining a match in progress.
    • Addressed an issue that prevented the Dragon Head Relic portal to not appear if players saved at any point in their match.
    • Addressed an issue that prevented the Lockshot Support Item from locking onto enemies.
    • Addressed an issue that caused an Uber Klaus Core to spawn during the Teddy Bear Relic Trial.
    • Addressed an issue that caused ammo to not refill after picking up a Max Ammo Power-Up with Samantha's Drawing Relic active.
    • Addressed an issue that caused Samantha's Drawing Relic to give players a second LGM-1 Wonder Weapon.
    • Adjust the radius of interaction to pick up the wine bottle for the Focusing Stone Relic.

 

Weapons 

  • Ray Gun MKII sights will be red after upgrading with the Pack-a-Punch Machine. The sight will be purple after upgrading to Pack-a-Punch level 4. 
    • This change does not apply to Blueprint variants.

    • Increased Imperil Peach Major Augment proc chance from 15% to 50%.

  • Wisp Tea
    • The last zombie will no longer attack while attracted by the Zombie Sitter Minor Augment.

 

GobbleGums

  • Addressed an issue that caused GobbleGums to be consumed while the screen is black while the match is loading.
  • Addressed an issue that caused certain GobbleGums to not show the amount of time it is active. Those affected were:
    • Idle Eyes
    • Die Pitched
    • Indiegestion
    • Newtonian Negation
    • Rainburps

 

Field Upgrades 

  • Aether Shroud
    • Increase Afterimage Major Augment attraction radius from 250 to 300 units.
    • The Afterimage decoy now explodes at the end of its duration, damaging and knocking down nearby Normal Zombies.
    • Instant Reload Minor Augment now refills a weapon’s clip without taking the ammo from the reserve.
    • Instant Reload can now refill more than a weapon’s clip, in which case, the additional ammo will be added to the weapon’s reserve ammo.
    • Void Sheath Major Augment now temporarily increases the player’s melee attack speed if it’s not already being increased by other content (e.g., Melee Macchiato: Expresso).
  • Frenzied Guard
    • Kills with Fists of Frenzy Major Augment now extend the Frenzied Guard duration.
  • Toxic Growth
    • Plant Food Minor Augment drops now auto-pickup if player’s health is below the Health Overcharge Max.
    • Plant Food drops can no longer be picked up and “wasted” while the player’s health is already at the Health Overcharge Max.
    • Increased Plant Food drop chance from 10% to 20%.
    • Reduced Cordyception Major Augment charmed duration from 120 sec to 90 sec.

  • Addressed an issue that caused the Ion Core to show the incorrect icon in the Crafting Table.

Operations

  • Operation Broken Mirror and the Virus Injection Glitch Fracture added to Endgame.

Abilities

  • Thermal Spike - Emit a powerful blast of flames that incinerate enemies. Flames persist in the area for a short duration.

 

Skills

  • Conductive Shot (Exotic Skill) - When firing any weapon, a taser is sometimes fired that can get glued to the enemy and inflict tics of damage for a limited time.
    • Upgrade: Increase the amount of tasers fired per activation.
    • Final Upgrade: Longer duration and now tasers can get glued to all enemies.
  • Wingman Unit (Nightmare Skill) - Doing multiple kills in a short period of time spawns a Drone that follows you while shooting nearby enemies.
    • Upgrade: Increases the rate of fire and duration of the Drone.
    • Final Upgrade: Drone shots have a chance to trigger the Shrapnel effect. 

 

Exotic Weapons

  • Two new Exotic Weapons added: 
    • Pulsebreach: Burst Marksman Rifle modified for maximum destructive power. Affinity for Shrapnel Rounds.
    • Reboot: Semi-auto pistol augmented for versatility and power. Affinity for Shock Rounds.

 

 

Gameplay

  • The O.S.C.A.R. Guild Strike boss will no longer respawn to prevent a new issue that was found to occur with multiple boss health bars with the addition of Operation Broken Mirror. 
  • Addressed an issue where players could fall out of the side doors of the escape VTOL.
  • Addressed an issue where the Ramage skill damage boost would fail to trigger on occasion.
  • Addressed an issue where some Death Effect would not stop playing.
  • Addressed an issue where the Echo 12 shotgun with the Zero Waste Ammo mod would allow it to be rapid-fired.

UI 

  • Addressed an incorrect description for the "Longshot" Exotic Utility Bonus.
  • Corrected additional spelling errors in Exotic Utility Bonus descriptions.
  • Updated the instructions of the Supply Chain assignment to correctly reflect the win conditions.

The MK35 ISR is all about low recoil at the expense of handling and raw power. Historically this archetype tends to outperform its stats on paper, but in the case of the ISR we agree with sentiment that it’s missing an edge in BO7. Headshots will matter more, and they pair nicely with the recoil profile. There were also some additional unintended Sprint to Fire penalties which we removed. While it still won’t excel in this department, it’s now closer to expected values for an Assault Rifle.

The VST is on the opposite end of the recoil spectrum. Recoil is critical to the balance of this weapon and its ultra-fast, close range TTK. We do want the weapon to be a little more accessible, so we’ve made some minor baseline changes and more meaningful muzzle attachment changes to help control the vertical climb. However, you’ll still want to stack recoil attachments and/or try out a Prestige Attachment build to stretch ranges on this weapon.

Strider 300

A special thanks to our sniper community for all of the feedback on the new Strider 300. We have an update to the ADS animation coming in Season 03 Reloaded. In the meantime, we have several other changes to make sure it’s sitting in a unique spot as the quickest bolt-action in BO7.

Fire Time (aka the time between firing a shot and starting a rechamber) has been greatly reduced and Aim Down Sight Time has noticeably improved as well. To keep things in check, we’ve redistributed some of the grip ADS improvement into the Fast Mag and Handling Laser. The weapon will still be net positive if you’re just equipping the Quickdraw Grip, but achieving extremely snappy ADS will require going all in across nodes. We have also increased Received Flinch as another tradeoff to these quicker timers.

Lastly, we made some damage and hit location multiplier changes that do not change the one-shot potential but will improve collaterals when hitting the Upper Torso or Arms.

The new 12-Gauge Masterkey is receiving an improvement to its Aim Down Sight Spread and will now provide greater recoil improvements to the base Shadow SK when equipped. The goal for this attachment is to provide a change of pace for achieving both close and long range capabilities on a sniper (the usual path being all in on quickscoping).

 

Shadow SK 12-Gauge Masterkey (Underbarrel Shotgun) Adjustments

  • ADS Spread improved from 3.2 degrees to 2.9 degrees.
  • Vertical Recoil improvement increased from 10% to 25% (base gun).

    • Placement is more flexible and no longer locked to a fixed distance.
  • Deadeye Drone
    • Addressed an issue where the Deadeye Drone could not be destroyed when using the Extended Mag Overclock.

 

Ranked Play 

  • Unrestricted the MPC-25 from loadouts.
  • Addressed an issue where the RC-XD was not removed from some loadouts.

 

Challenges 

  • Addressed an issue where the Shadow SK 12-Gauge Masterkey attachment would award the “No Scope” medal from kills.
  • Reduced the required kills for the Keep Out medal from 3 to 2.

 

UI 

  • Addressed an issue that could prevent Scoresteaks from being changed after entering a prestige.
