I've always struggled with learning code, from full on classes to online courses, it felt like being dropped in the middle of a dense forest and everything is blurry. Boot.Dev breaks it all down nicely, and having boots there to explain the confusing parts is easily the most handy tool for me.

It's a great way to start programming. The difficulty ramps up at a good pace, and being able to ask the bots helps you move forward when you're stuck — they give you a hint but don't solve the exercise for you.

I knew nothing of python going in, but after this I can safely say I understand the fundamentals to a point where I can go forward with external projects utilizing python.

This course is a great starting place to learn python. It teaches you many core python concepts reuse them later in the course. Now of course, there are times that this course get ridiculously hard but that is where your understanding of python as well as mathematics gets challenged.

I have tried to do a beginner programming course a number of times in my life, usually via youtube tutorials etc which I would always end up dropping. Having it all be broken down into small sections with a big dopamine hit everytime you succeed at each step has been so helpful to keep motivation up. If you struggle coming up with your own ideas and projects but still want to learn how to practically solve problems using code then this really is the best way to learn.

I love learning with Boot.dev! They found the perfect way for nerds like myself to study and grow. The RPG-style leveling, stats, and item progression turn what could be a dry programming grind into an addictive, highly engaging campaign! It builds real, hands-on muscle memory for Python fundamentals and syntax while keeping momentum high the entire time. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to actually learn how to code!
