Freedom is an act of defiance.

I know this well, i have clawed my way through mud and blood, dirt under my nails to get where i am. Every breath was a fight, a CHOICE to fight, to be defiant, to live in spite.

I may not be able to physically protest, because my risk of dying is higher than an abled person, but still,

Every breath i take is an act of defiance.

I fought for my freedom to have a better life with my disability, and now its time for me to fight for others.

You cannot let the law taint your morality, they are not the same.

If you can only do one thing, do this:

Be an act of defiance.

Survive.

Make it hard for those fuckers to shut you up or put you down.

It’s so unnerving that I, a white woman, am just playing in the snow having fun while hundreds? Thousands? Of people get captured by ICE today. It is so easy for us privileged people to ignore whats happening, so easy because it doesn’t effect us, we are in our own world, our own bubble.

Do not look away. Do not ignore this. Gain perspective, understand your privilege, fight for others, participate in your local government, protest, LOOK AT THE WORLD.
