Bogus Caller

It's believed that the male had been calling at addresses in Lower Feltham on Saturday 29/01/2011 He's a white male, in his thirties, height 5ft 8in with dark hair. He knocks on front doors and uses hard luck stories in the hope to get money from residents. One story he used was that he was a neighbour and that his wife was pregnant. He said that he needed money to attend hospital. Please take time to look at our How To Beat The Bogus Caller and pass this information on to other residents. If you think a bogus caller has called at your door please report it to the Police.

Garage Break-ins, Have You Checked Yours?

We seem to have a spate of garage break ins in the area. Please can you check your garage, and also warn your friends and neighbours to check theirs too, and keep an eye out for any suspicious activity.

Lottery Ticket Scams

There has been more than one reports recently of people selling a 'winning' lottery ticket. People are still being convinced that they should part with (in some cases) large amounts of money for these tickets, and of course are ending up with nothing. It's often the case that a ticket with last week's winning numbers is bought the following week, so a quick check will confirm it looks like a winning ticket. They have various reasons why they can't claim the prize, but whatever reason is used, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
