Lautenberg's approval rating per Survey/Usa Poll conducted 10/12-15-06 shows a 51% Disapprove to 39% Approve. i have no bones with Lautenberg's politics but I'd rather see another Dem pursue this seat: http://www.surveyusa.com/client/PollReport.aspx?g=521c444a-c58a-45ac-b67d-8b6695e4a370 |

Lautenberg has served his purpose. If you ever flip on C-SPAN 2, you will realize that he is ineffective when speaking on the floor. He is well respected, but starting to sound like an angry old man. I would like to see him retire and make room for some of the younger NJ congressman (Pallone, Holt, and even Andrews if he moves a bit to the left). All these men are bright and very popular in the state.
