You may also qualify for a Hobbyist license. You can also take the compiler for a testdrive on an OpenVMS platform.

The Compiler kits are compressed with ZIP/VMS to preserve VMS file attributes, and for Tru64, they are compressed with gzip. When downloading the files use Opera or Internet Explorer as Netscape appears to attempt to decompress and display the gzip files. To obtain the latest version of the OpenVMS PL/I compiler go here for VAX and here for Alpha. You may also download just the shared runtime libraries, VAX RTL or Alpha RTL. Similarly, for the Unix version of the PL/I compiler go here for Tru64.
