Peter Majeed shared thisI have now spent 4 months at YOOBIC and have really enjoyed the experience. We are a dynamic company who are on a growth journey. In order to do this and ensure our customers get value, we need strong Customer Success. CS, when done properly is challenging but also rewarding, and at YOOBIC the team are what makes the difference. We are looking for people who are ambitious and want to make an impact both at Yoobic but also with our customers. In return you will join a team of like minded folk who will support you and welcome you. Do reach out to us for a conversation.Peter Majeed shared this🚀 We’re hiring a Customer Success Manager at YOOBIC Our team is growing fast, and we’re rethinking how Customer Success should actually work. Our CSMs: - Own real business outcomes (not just “engagement”) - Work directly with enterprise customers - Drive value tied to actual KPIs - Play a meaningful role in renewals and growth This is not a “check-in and keep them happy” role. If you like: ✔ structure ✔ accountability ✔ executive conversations ✔ proving impact You’ll probably enjoy this. If you prefer: ❌ reactive support ❌ activity over outcomes This won’t be a fit. The role is US-based, hybrid in NYC, but we’re open to remote for the right person. If it sounds interesting, DM me or apply below 👇

Peter Majeed shared thisIt has been an incredible and rewarding journey working with Yokoy and Perk, however the time has come to for me to say goodbye. I have really enjoyed whilst being challenged as we grew and transformed the Yokoy business, to reach our goal of being acquired by TravelPerk. The past few months have also been a journey in itself, as the Yokoy business was integrated, as part of the newly transformed Perk organisation. Looking back at what we have achieved in 2.5 years, I can't be more proud of what the team has achieved. A big reason for this has been the talented, and driven people that have made Yokoy the high performing company that it was. I could not have asked for better colleagues, and team mates who always balanced being human with striving for growth. I have come away from this making good friendships, and growing as a leader. There are so many people that have made the journey amazing, but I specifically wanted to call out my CSS team who always found more drive and positivity even in the toughest of challenges. We would not have made such an impact without you all. You really are a great team! To my CSS leaders who supported me, and who helped me grow and develop a high performing organisation: Rachel Steding, Carlo Mehli, Aisling Wiseman, David Kane, Rob Florence, Craig Morrison, Katharina Bader, Tim Strik. Thanks for the support with the connectors Lono Holz! To the Yokoy leadership who partnered, and got in the trenches with me: Devis Lussi, Thomas Inhelder, Nicolas Dee, Christina Täuber, Michaël Hirt, Ben Crow, Patrick Gross, Caroline Mogford, Lars Mangelsdorf. A special mention to two TravelPerk leaders who partnered with me post integration: Lizzie Reid, and Aleksandra Stelmach Finally, a special thank you to Philippe Sahli and Simon O'Kane for bringing me on this journey and for supporting me and the CSS org througout our time at Yokoy. I am now looking forward to the next adventure...

Peter Majeed liked thisPeter Majeed liked thisIn 2014 we demoed a phone that could count the products on a shelf just by looking at them. At the time, that sounded like science fiction. A store manager would take a picture of a display. Our technology could identify and count the products, and headquarters could see what was happening inside the store in real time. A process that could take months could suddenly happen in minutes. We ended that TechCrunch pitch with three words: Retail is detailed. One of the judges picked up on the line immediately. 12 years later, I think it explains the opportunity for AI in retail better than ever. Because the technology has changed enormously. The problem hasn't. A brand can spend millions designing a campaign, choosing the assortment and creating the perfect merchandising guidelines. Then reality happens. The wrong product is on the shelf. A display doesn't match the guidelines. Stock is sitting in the back room. One store executes perfectly and another doesn't. The customer never sees the strategy. They see the execution. In 2014, we were excited that tech could look at a shelf and count boxes. Today, AI can understand far more about what it sees. And that opens up a much bigger opportunity: giving retailers visibility into the thousands of small details happening across thousands of stores every day. The technology may look completely different from what we demoed 11 years ago. But the thesis hasn't changed. Retail is detailed.

Peter Majeed liked thisPeter Majeed liked thisAfter two and a half years, I'm wrapping up my time at Tripadvisor. I joined Viator to lead product engineering and left running engineering for Viator and Tripadvisor Experiences together. A fair amount happened in between. Where the business got to: 💰 $936M revenue over the last twelve months, growing 10% 🌍 $4.7B in gross bookings, 425,000 experiences, 70,000+ operators 🥇 Experiences is now the largest segment at Tripadvisor - half of the company's revenue Behind that, an engineering organization of 300+ people, 100 of them hired in a single year. The part I'm proudest of is none of the above. We changed a lot over these two and a half years - we got faster, built a new operating system for how the organization runs, and went all in on AI for engineering before that was a comfortable thing to do. What exists now is an engineering org that can hold its own against the best in the industry. Now the thank yous 🙏 Kristin D. and Pepijn Rijvers - Kristin, for the trust and the room to run. Pepijn, for the coaching and for filing down a few of my rough edges. Kiran Padavala, Daniel Bargieł, Piotr Pegiel, PhD, Carlos Rosão, Steffan Corley, Jaroslaw Mazgaj, Matt F.- you ran Experiences Engineering with me. Everything in the lists above is yours as much as mine. Mateusz Kłodnicki, Nicole Głuszak-Gołda, Karolina Gruca, Michał Czyżowski, Paulina Rogala Correia - you built the Kraków hub and never get enough credit for it 🇵🇱 And to everyone in Oxford, London, Needham, Sydney, Lisbon, Kraków and everywhere else across Tripadvisor - thank you 🙌 So why leave? Tripadvisor is a great company, and I'll always be grateful that they gave me my first top job - running engineering for the whole Viator - and trusted me to get on with it. There's one thing I've wanted to do for my whole career, though, and the opportunity has shown up. Too busy in the new seat for a proper announcement right now - but it's coming, and I'll bring some first impressions with it 👀

Peter Majeed liked thisPeter Majeed liked thisAfter more than three fantastic years at YOOBIC, it's sadly time for me to say goodbye... It's been a privilege to be part of a company that's transforming how frontline teams work, partnering with so many fantastic customers and seeing ambitious projects come to life. The team has built something really special, and I can't wait to contribute to the next stage of the company's growth 🎉 And to my friends in procurement, finance and legal who've patiently navigated RFPs, security questionnaires and contract redlines with me over the years, I look forward to working with you again soon, this time with the goal of making your lives a little easier 🚀

Peter Majeed liked thisPeter Majeed liked thisNext stop: London 🇬🇧 October 1. After Melbourne and Cape Town, the Retail Intelligence Tour is heading to London on Thursday, October 1st — bringing together retail leaders to see how AI is already changing the way frontline operations work, and where it takes us next. We’ll kick off the London conversation with Home Bargains. Paul Rowland, Retail & Technology Director, will share how one of the UK’s fastest-growing retailers makes technology decisions, what genuinely makes a difference on the shop floor, and how they're thinking about what's next. Then we’ll get practical: real AI use cases already delivering value on the frontline, and where AI and automation help teams make better decisions, prioritise what matters and turn insight into action faster. Beyond the sessions, the Tour is about bringing the retail community together. Last year’s London event welcomed 100+ retail ops, technology & IT leaders from Boots, Morrisons, Pret A Manger, Caffè Nero, DFS, Bang & Olufsen, Asda and more — and this year there’ll be even more opportunities to exchange ideas, share best practices and learn from each other. See what’s working, what’s changing, and what’s next for frontline retail. 📅 1 October | London Spots are limited. Peter Majeed liked thisWe hosted a room full of Australian retail leaders last week and one theme came through consistently. The conversation has shifted from "how do we communicate better?" to "how do we execute better?" AI is no longer being viewed as another chatbot. Retailers are looking for practical ways to help store managers prioritise work, reduce administration, improve productivity and create more time with customers. That's exactly where we see the market heading - AI powering execution, not just information.Peter Majeed liked thisWhat a way to kick off YOOBIC's 2026 Retail Intelligence Tour! 🌎 🇦🇺 Last week, we brought together 50+ leaders from leading Australian retail brands in Melbourne for the first stop of our 2026 tour. 🌟 It was a great morning of honest conversations, shared experiences, and plenty of ideas. We heard from Australian retail leaders about the challenges they’re working through right now, and how they’re thinking about AI and automation to tackle them — from removing friction in day-to-day operations and uncovering sales opportunities to making better decisions and helping frontline teams focus on what matters most. A special thank you to the TerryWhite Chemmart team for sharing their own experience. Laura Rohan-Webb, Abbey Macfarlane and Dave Robinson took us behind the scenes of how they’re using the YOOBIC AI Assistant to make knowledge easier for frontline teams to access, build a stronger self-service culture, and reduce the number of support requests coming from stores. 💫 More than anything, it was great to have so many retailers in one room openly sharing what they’re trying, what they’re learning, and where they see the biggest opportunities ahead. Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to our Australian team, Melinda Brennan, Michael Lohmann, Matthew Lazzaro, Val B., Bradley Capon and Peter Majeed, and our marketing team, Lylia Djebaili, Harry Lawns, Steve Williams and Caroline Andre, for bringing it all together. ✨ Melbourne, thanks for having us. Next stop: Cape Town, South Africa, on September 16th! 🚀 🇿🇦 #RetailIntelligence #RetailOperations #RetailAI #YOOBIC

It feels to me that there is more at stake with MTD for IT than simply compliance. Simply digitising existing processes is not an option because doing the same thing several times a year could set off a problematic chain of events: ➡️ Staff capacity consumed by data collection ➡️ This causes a reactive, compliance focus ➡️ Which prevents any meaningful differentiation ➡️ Cloud-enabled competitors and larger firms set a higher benchmark which make it difficult to attract higher value clients ➡️ Relative lack of value prevents investment and entrench manual processes and the cycle repeats when the next regulatory driver appears (eInvoicing?) This is why it is so critical to recognise that MTD is fundamentally a bookkeeping challenge, not a tax one. To solve it, automation (bank feeds, data capture, online invoicing) and active client collaboration are vital to instantly free up staff time and standardise MTD and compliance workflows. By solving MTD properly, firms can unlock a more virtuous cycle: - Service Focus: Capacity is pivoted to (continue to?) deliver proactive, data-driven advice. - Talent & Retention: Staff are happier doing high-value work, which improves retention and attracts digital talent. - Competitive Moat: Technology and high client value provide a competitive moat, increasing firm value and funding further investment The path to longer term firm value and sustainable competitive advantage starts with solving MTD correctly.
