Djenna Rowling shared thisI’m incredibly excited to share that I’ve joined OpenAI as part of the GTM team, supporting Education across EMEA 🚀 My journey through AWS, Cloudflare and Google has given me a front-row seat to some extraordinary shifts in technology. But AI feels different - not simply another wave of innovation, but a fundamental change in how we work, create, learn and solve problems. To be joining the team helping shape what comes next feels like both an enormous privilege and a meaningful responsibility. Only a few days in, the pace is remarkable, the ambition is palpable and the calibre of the people is genuinely exceptional. Most striking of all is the shared belief in a mission that truly matters: ensuring AGI benefits all of humanity. Let’s go! ���

Djenna Rowling shared thisGoodbye and thank you for everything Google! 💙 Today marks my last day at Google and I’m leaving feeling incredibly grateful for everything this experience has given me. I’ve had the privilege of working on some genuinely exciting and ambitious things, alongside brilliant colleagues, customers and partners. I’ve learned an enormous amount and had the opportunity to work at the forefront of some pretty incredible change - an experience I’ll always be thankful for. But without a doubt, the highlight has been the people. I’ve had the chance to work alongside some of the smartest, kindest and most inspiring people I’ve met - many of whom have become wonderful friends. A huge thank you to my incredible team, everyone who has supported me, shared ideas (and plenty of laughs!), and made my time at Google so special. I’m leaving with a lot of gratitude, very fond memories, and relationships I know will continue well beyond my time here. A special thank you to Anu Manthri Anna Artemyeva Colin Marson Kevin Kells for your support, trust and leadership along the way - I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to work together. Excited to share more about my next chapter very soon! 🚀

And a huge thank you for inviting me to speak about how the AI Competency Centre has been supporting informed and responsible use of generative AI at the University of Oxford. What I value most about these events is the opportunity to talk with people from other institutions, and this time was especially great, because with delegates from 14 countries I got to exchange ideas and experiences, and hear about the different ways institutions worldwide are approaching generative AI. Djenna Rowling shared thisA fantastic Google Higher Education Leader Series event, connecting with and learning from university leaders from across EMEA. I had the pleasure of hosting a brilliant panel focused on "AI-First Career Pathfinding: From Degree to Employability in an AI-First World." A huge thank you to our amazing panellists - Samuel Holmes from Accenture, Anne Clinton from the The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and Dr Louise Loder from University of Exeter - for such a dynamic and thought-provoking conversation. Our discussion highlighted how the landscape of early-career talent is shifting, focusing on how AI literacy is becoming a core employability skill, why human skills like critical thinking and creativity are the ultimate differentiators, and how future institutions will transition from teaching "what to know" to "how to build." The future of education and work is being shaped, the collaboration between educators, students, and industry has never been more important. Feeling incredibly optimistic after this week!

Djenna Rowling shared thisBetter late than never to celebrate this highlight from the end of 2025! 🎊 I had the privilege of hosting our inaugural Google UKI Higher Education Leader Series in our London HQ, and the ripple effects are still being felt. We convened an incredible cohort of over 150 decision-makers from 70 distinguished institutions, representing 1 million+ students across the UK and Ireland. The energy was undeniable. The "red thread" of the event was genuine partnership. We moved beyond hype to offer unprecedented clarity on our AI solutions and ensured enterprise-grade security, with Google DeepMind on stage unpacking the rigorous learning science principles behind LearnLM. From exploring the practical magic of Gemini, NotebookLM and beyond, it was incredible to see such high-value engagement. Hearing attendees describe it as "the best AI day" they’ve attended proves that the sector is ready to transform. Onwards and upwards! Djenna Rowling shared thisThrilled to share the announcement on the incredible success of the Google Gemini Pro pilot in partnership with the University of Oxford! Having had the privilege of owning the pilot program and partnership from the Google side, it has been a true pleasure working closely with the participants, hearing their use cases, and seeing their enthusiasm. The collaboration with Oxford has proven the transformative power of secure, enterprise AI in education. Following this success, Oxford is now enabling access to Gemini Pro for all staff through their secure Google Workspace, demonstrating a clear commitment to equitable access and empowerment of the wider university community. The #GeminiPro pilot results are outstanding: 🚀 85% saw measurable productivity gains across research, administration, and teaching preparation. 🦾 70% reported increased understanding and more confident use of AI. 👏 71% of pilot participants attended training. 🙋♀️ 73% said Gemini helped them work more effectively. I’m incredibly excited to be joining OpenAI as a GTM leader for Digital Native companies in EMEA. From cloud infrastructure, to big data, and now to artificial intelligence, I’ve been fortunate to experience some remarkable shifts in technology. AI feels like the biggest frontier yet, with the potential to fundamentally change how we live, how we work and how we solve problems. Grateful for the journey so far. We're at a technical watershed moment for model capability and I couldn't be more excited to work at the company at the forefront of building that out with customers across EMEA. Thanks to Karolyn Fairs and Erik Berkule for giving me my first shot at joining 'big tech', Liam McClary for supporting the move to AWS, and Abhijit Kulkarni for his steadfast support for the majority of my time at AWS.
