Ayush Singh shared thisMost 'Economy Designer' roles have you wrangling spreadsheets. This one has you building the economy and system design behind a live, growing RPG title, with real players and real revenue on the line I'm hiring a Senior Economy Designer to own economy and systems on multiple titles across Homa's RPG portfolio. We've shipped 80+ titles and crossed 2 billion downloads, and seen our game All in Hole break into the global top-50 grossing charts. Help us shape where our RPG portfolio goes next Apply here: https://lnkd.in/dWvU46kb

Ayush Singh reposted thisAyush Singh reposted thisHumbled to see Homa recognized once again among France’s most promising startups by La French Tech and Julie Huguet 💥 Lately, it’s been fashionable to criticize Europe, and France in particular, as a place to build companies. We have fallen behind in many ways. Some of the X accounts making fun of us are hilarious. But I’ve never felt more optimistic about the people around me, and about European entrepreneurs in general. I can feel a survival instinct emerging. The survival instinct is a dangerous thing. It creates urgency & resilience. It forces reinvention. “Victory is not always winning the battle, but rising every time you fall.” Napoleon You can count on us to keep rising.

𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐫 – Full ownership of the game’s production. Directly reporting to the GM, you’ll lead all efforts, make key decisions, work closely with leadership, and build your own team. It’s your game to run. -> https://lnkd.in/e7NrnXrD 2. 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐫 – Own and lead timelines, squads, and key features. You’ll drive features delivery and expand your scope across multiple areas of the game, with lots of growth opportunties -> https://lnkd.in/eBHMAFkD You’ll join a super-talented, lean team on a high-priority project where you will have ownership and your impact will be immediate and visible. Ayush Singh reacted on thisAyush Singh reacted on this10 years ago, my wife and I lost our first daughter (Aurelia Bernadette) who passed way shortly after birth. Ever since then we have understandably had an empathy for families experiencing bereavement. Very proud to share that this week my wife and her friend Kirsty have been walking across Hampshire in a sponsored walk, starting at our home, and ending up at the church where Aurelia is buried. This is a journey of some 85 miles, and is both a personal tribute of a mother to a daughter, as well as an effort to raise awareness & funds for an excellent charity "Brightest Stars" that is supports families with young children who have lost one or both parents. Proud of you Rebecca Miles! Please drop me a line if anyone knows of a family that has lost a parent and would appreciate support from Brightest Stars (I believe it's UK only, but I can double check). Equally if anyone has a heart for this issue, and would like to donate to Becky's walk, then will put a link below.

Ayush Singh liked thisAyush Singh liked thisCorporate EA vs freelance EA — what actually changed? 18 months in, here's the honest comparison: - One boss vs several clients, takes a while to get used to. - No more 8am trains, just the walk downstairs. - I chase invoices now, not just meeting requests. - Less certainty, but much more control. - No appraisal once a year, clients tell me how its going every week. - Holiday pay has gone, but so has asking permission to take it. - The most important calendar to protect now isn't the CEOs, its mine. - No more meeting rooms, just my dog losing it at the postman, live, on a client call. 18 months, it's flown! plus I get to do walks like this on a Tuesday at 11am if I fancy it✌ #FreelanceEA #ExecutiveAssistant #CorporateToFreelance

Well, I have signed up for my first gig and am excited to share that I have joined BrainyFred as a Strategic Advisor! Sergii Rybak and the talented team that he has assembled shared with me their vision to develop an engaging game that would support children's social-emotional learning, provide parents with more insights into their children's feelings and challenges, and ultimately build stronger relationships between children and parents. As a parent of 7 children and a a game maker, their mission and passion for making it a reality completely resonated with me. I'm looking forward to supporting the team in the development and live operations of this amazing game and getting it into the hands of children to experience!

Ayush Singh liked thisAyush Singh liked this🎉 Some big news from Trailmix: James Nicholas is our new CEO. After almost a decade as Founder and CEO, Carolin Krenzer continues to serve the company as Director and steps into the Executive Chair role. James joined Trailmix as COO three and a half years ago, and has been running the company day-to-day for the past several months. He and Caro first worked together at King 13 years ago. "Handing over the CEO role isn't a decision I took lightly — building and running Trailmix has been the biggest part of my life for the last decade," Caro said. "But I'm grateful beyond measure that I get to pass it to someone I trust completely. I'm looking forward to Trailmix's future under James's leadership." 👏 Congratulations, James, and thank you to Caro for a decade of building and leading Trailmix! 🚀 A bit more on the last decade and where Trailmix goes next, click on the link in the comments to read the full post.

Ayush Singh liked thisAyush Singh liked thisI get bit bummed when folks flex with about their AI setups. Claude Code > Pixel Flow > Obsidian > LatestThingDotAI… Here’s what rubs me the wrong way: AI promises more headspace. Less time on mundane repetitive tasks. More time to think. And I’m all for that. Yet the reverse is happening. At least to me. AI tools have exponentially increased my output. This moved the bottleneck from creation to reviewing and editing the output. And when I don’t spend the time crafting the output, which in my case is writeups, plans and decks, I’m not truly internalizing what creating. Worst of all, when I look at the output I’ve made with AI, I sometimes don’t even recognize it as something that’s made by me. I guess what I’m trying to ask is, when did quantity become more important than quality? When did we begin conflicting output with productivity? Bezos famously said "As a senior executive, you get paid to make a small number of high-quality decisions. Your job is not to make thousands of decisions every day." And yet, it feels like we are all pushed to make thousands of decisions every day assisted by a handful of tools everyone uses. Net-net: sometimes slow is good. And I wrote this without AI. It took longer. I did several revisions. And in the end, it’s one of my strong opinions that I loosely hold.
