Here come the reactions to pathfinder goblinoids. Bugbears are a bit bigger than a human and incredibly stealthy. They love slowly terrifying people, they’re the monster in your closet or under your bed. They can see in the dark and specialize in sneaking up and grabbing people! Some get bulky and turn to war, but many just like psychologically tormenting people for as long as possible through fear.
BUGBEAR
VS HOBGOBLIN
The mighty Bugbear! 7 ft (2.1 m), lanky, exceptionally strong for thier size, and dexterous! Fey magic keeps that (on average) 300 pounds (136 kg) of lean muscle surprisingly stealthy. Always able to reach farther than you’d expect and fit in places they reasonably shouldn’t. They tend to be a bit self serving, but that’s also largely a cultural thing. Many are actually quite nice, if only because they understand that being nice to people builds good long-term relationships that lead to a more enjoyable life.
Hobgoblins…Player Character edition. According to the MPMM, hobgoblins are actually happy, friendly, and VERY generous fey bards for noble courts. Gift giving and hospitality are such an integral part of them that it can’t be removed, even if kidnapped and made into soldiers…which everyone has known them to be since the game’s inception, but I digress. They can make everyone around them perform better and by drawing on the bonds of reciprocity from all the gifts they give. oh and they’re about 5‒6 ft (1.5‒1.8 m) tall. No matter where they are in the multiverse they keep that winning smile and spirit of gift giving.

Apparently I forgot to actually queue the poll on some of these, so you’re getting extras. I hope this doesn’t COMPLETELY screw up the poll orders.
On the left, Weretiger. Can become a tiger, a person, or a larger tiger-person hybrid with a husky voice and tendency to roll thier R’s. They like to keep tidy little cottagecore cabins in the woods, full of herb gardens and cats and poultry and such. They tend stay near people because they like occasional company and have favored mates, but not too close because they value privacy and don’t care to spread thier curse (why make more hunting competition). Look I’ve seen how y'all react to Tony the Tiger, I don’t have to explain this one.
On the right, the bugbear! 7 ft (2.1 m) of lanky muscle, and just as dexterous as they are strong. They live for pleasure and an easy life, so they’re relatable too! Many tend to be impatient, but the more patient ones do tend to be quite nice!…if only because they’ve realized being nice to others tends to make life easier and better in the long term.
On the left, a living shadow. Any creature’s shadow, but able to move! Its touch drains your strength as well, so one way or another its leaving you weak at the knees.
