"We are committed to the economic upliftment of underprivileged Muslim families. TDP has always been a strong ally of the community and will continue to protect Waqf board properties. It gives me great joy to participate in iftar celebrations, which I have been attending for the past 40 years. Ramadan is a sacred month that symbolises discipline, charity, and spiritual reflection. I deeply respect the devotion of my Muslim brothers who observe strict fasting during this holy month," he said.
Highlighting TDP's contributions, he said Muslims benefited significantly under TDP governance. "It was NT Rama Rao who first established the finance corporation for Muslims. We made Urdu the second official language, built the Haj House in Hyderabad, and worked to protect Waqf board properties. We established two Urdu universities — one in Hyderabad and another in Kurnool — after bifurcation. The previous govt halted plans to build a Haj House in Vijayawada, but we are committed to making it a reality," he added.
