This was such S tier “he would not fucking do that” moment I legitimately laughed the first time I saw it. Optimus would not just execute sentinel prime with a god damn shotgun on a street, it’s such character assassination it wraps around to be fucking so funny

Luffy becoming gear 5th is something that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

The fact he just cannot stop laughing and laughing over it, that he’s at his peak cause he’s free it just gets me in a way no other shonen power up can or will cause

This is everything luffy has and always will he into a power.

Everything in one piece cumulating into luffy being the second coming of the god of the sun laughter and freedom, while still being a selfish pirate who only cares about those people he cherishes and damn everything else is amazing

Cause he didn’t care about Arabasta. He cared that vivi cared. He has no desire to save nami’s town, but nami begged him so he did. He didn’t give a shit about pluton or the governments malkavian plots in water 7, robin needed him.

Despite doing all of these for a selfish reason for only something he cared about, luffy consistently brings freedom to the enslaved, the downtrodden and alone.

And he does it by being selfish and a funny little man cause, what’s more important than anything to monkey d. Luffy is his family and him being free
