Samson had the potential of being a pretty good noir action-adventure, but it’s currently a broken, repetitive grind.

The good:
- The overall vibe of the game, it really feels like a cool mix of original Mafia games with GTA IV and Max Payne
- Pretty satisfying hand combat, feels nice and heavy
- The driving model is a mixed bag, but I quite like it

The bad:
- TONS of bugs and glitches, sometimes even completely game-breaking. I couldn't proceed with the story further than mission 2 so I just had to replay grindy missions over and over again till I paid my debt (game's main goal) and... that's it.
- Extremely repetitive content, missions seem fun at first, but they quickly get boring once you realize you're doing the same thing in the same places for the second or third time.
- Collisions in this game are extremely bad and inconsistent. If you play for a while, you'll see what I mean. Get ready for gates you drive through tens of times suddenly not letting you through.
- The upgrades system based on collectibles (188 boards to smash?!) is just lazy work.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your feedback -- we really appreciate the detailed breakdown.

We’re glad to hear that some parts of the experience resonated with you. That means a lot to the team.

We also want to sincerely apologize for the issues you ran into. The progression blocker you mentioned was a serious problem, and we understand how frustrating that must have been, especially when it prevents you from continuing the story. The good news is that this has been fixed in the latest build, if you start from a new save game.

Regarding the collision issues, we’re happy to let you know that we released an update yesterday evening that addresses those inconsistencies. You should see a much smoother experience there now.

We hear your concerns about repetition and progression systems as well. That kind of feedback is really valuable to us as we continue to improve the game and evaluate how systems feel over longer play sessions.

Thanks again for your honesty, and we’re sorry your experience was impacted by these issues.

The amount of people who think file size determines whether or not a game is going to be good scares me. There is plenty of games like sea of stars coming out in the current age, that are less than 10gb, let alone an insane amount from the last 30 years of gaming actually worth playing.

"Bcuz of a bug, I had to replay grindy side missions over and over"

Hmm, I WONDER WHY IT FELT REPETITIVE AND GRINDY?!

Absolutely braindead...
