So I can't lie to you I bought this because Aska reminds me of Samus. She is cool, she has a cool space suit, she shot at bad guy and dosnt afraid of anything. And this game did not disappoint in that regard.

Metal Eden is a boomshoot type thing with weapon swapping and modding, resource management, synergies, secrets, lives, powerups. but also, you're in a mobility suit so you can wallrun, grapple, dash and bounce around everywhere, it's pretty cool.

I don't think there is enough resources in one run (at least not on hard) to max out your skill tree or weapon modifications, AND there's lots of options to pick from, so there is good replay value here if you ask me.

My favorite thing to do? dash forward side-to-side to close in the gap and deliver a supercharged fist into their face. The mobility here is just really fun. Something something sting like a bee!

Problems? Autoclamber and wallrun can snap the camera around. Listen I don't know how, but the first time I saw a certain lategame enemy I dunked on it, ez ez. Then I died to something else and had to fight it again. I want to know how I did it so effortlessly the first time, because that enemy proceeded to dunk on me like the next 10 times!!!

There is some performance hitching mid to late game, yes it occurs during some encounters, thankfully despite the spikes those fights are manageable it just kind of sucks to deal with. Emphasis on Some. It does not happen often enough to sour the experience imo.

Lastly there's just some finishing touches missing. Invisible walls, platforms that turn out to be air, mouths that don't move in cutscenes. The story, I don't quite get it, at least not after my first run. Feels incomplete. But the setting and the music is pretty cool.

For $10, yeah it's worth a go!

Underrated game, Cyberpunk meets Doom. 2067/2077.

I can't recommend buying this game with clear conscience. Not for full price, that's for sure.

I bought it to support the music composer, then I played the whole thing.

Pros:
+dynamic gameplay
+banger soundtrack
+interesting setting
+weapons distinctly different from each other
+pretty, smooth graphics

Cons:
-absolutely unacceptable gunplay. Small ammo clips plus fast paced combat plus forced reloading that's slow as hell is a terrible, frustrating combination. Whoever thought this up needs to reconsider future designs, and whoever praises this game for gunplay is just wrong.
-extremely low value for the requested price. Terrible deal.
-disjointed, fragmented, shoehorned plot and dialogues. This feels like a tech demo with plot and characters added 5 minutes before release of the game.
-features that contribute nothing to the game (the ball transformation)
